Krater
Is the game playworthy?
I tried this game once and I loved the art, music and atmosphere, but it struck me how lacking it was in the regular hack&slash department: stats, skills and loot. I would like to know if new features are being added to the game as it goes and if it is worht checking the game after a while to see if bad things are fixed and good things are added. Can anyone say a few words about the current status of the game?

The game itself is very enjoyable from start to finish. There are still a few glitches, like the occasional CTD (although rarely happens). That's the only one i've experienced since it's most recent patch. One of the most annoying issues is the secret achievements, there are 5 co-op based ones that simply don't unlock no matter what, so no 100% completion at this point in time which won't make many hardcore players happy.

Obtaining money and crafting materials in the game is a slow and tedious process, but you soon get used to it and build your character slowly and don't try and be a BOSS straight out the gate. The game is really down to personal preference, and i found it a lovely game. It was slated on it's original release due to immense problems it had, glitches and bugs were plenty. Now though it's a much better experience and it deserves far more recognition.

Regarding future content, i was told that the game was no longer being supported by the developers as they are working on other projects. This is a shame, if they did an expansion on the story then it would most likely put this game at the top of the tree. It's better than most AAA titles out there that's for sure. With a coupon it's a no brainer to get...

Well, not being supported is not entirely true. However from what I know the crew is working on external titles to make money.
However The mess hinted that Fatshark are still having a guy working on stuff, or maybe something more in the works for Krater at a later time, so fingers crossed we will see the next parts (it was planned as a trilogy).

At least for me I enjoyed the game from start to finish, and I honestly never understood why ppl complained so much at the 'lack' of skills and that they needed to get new ppl for their teams.
I just found it natural to replace someone who could no longer do what i wanted them to do.
And as far as skill goes, it's a question of putting boosters in them to change what they do which makes the whole game a lot more fun.

Anyway, the game is clearly not for everyone, so if you haven't already, then try the demo first and see if you like it. If you do, get it, if you don't, dont get it....its as simple as that imo

Thank you guys for the info, I may just give the game another try.
If you can get over the quirkiness its looks like great fun. It has that Swedish style comedic tone, similar to Magicka if you know that game. So far Ive only played the first two missions, but its enticing me on...
if you want a fun game with quirky looking characters and getting bear meat for a quest, its all good, just has a Diablo 2 Titan quest angle to it when moving you can hold mouse wheel down to spin the game field and zoom in and out, great music has a Steampunk feel to it.
