[solved] Can't see texts

Hello

I've just installed Krater and I can't see texts on some buttons and in settings (screens[imgur.com])
I've tried to change ratio and resolution, delete user_settings.config file, check integrity (always 1 file wrong), but same bug

I need help :'(

Hello,

It looks as if you have French as your UI language for Steam. Unfortunately Krater only partially support French. Right click the game in you Steam library --> Properties --> Languages. Choose another langage. We fully support Brazilian Portuguese, English, Polish, Russian. German is supported for single player.

Do you know The Hell of your advice here ?

I got same issue about language because i'am french too. It's first time a game require Steam->settings->{change} to be played. I turned settings language into english to play Krater & i got The Hell. Because this stupid advice, all my games into Steam library turned into update at same time to donwload english content, bugging my connexion (more than 20 games updating gigabytes at same time & others queing for update later).

Today i try to turn back language as french & i'll got The Hell 2/2, all my games is updating now as french content, that mean many gigabytes updated at same time.

I never saw so stupid advice in my life.

I played a while demo about Krater. I never got this issue : "can't see texts". That mean this issue was fixed in demo & never in-game. Full game is bugged & demo was trap to invite me to buy your game.

This is not acceptable. This game isn't release but only in beta yet i think. I stop to play Krater at this time. I want an update to fix that bug. You done that for demo you can do same for full game.

I'am waiting about Fatshark reply.

It's solid advice, you are just doing it wrong

What you described is you changed the settings for Steam globally and not just for the game itself, so ofc Steam updates all the games with new languages.

what you should do is rightclick on the GAME in your library view in steam, then properties->Language tab and select English (which so happens to be exactly what RBM said to do).

If ever you need help to translate it in French, just ask ! Not every french people are dumb as...

1) Le jeu n'est pas inscrit comme traduit en français donc logique qu'il ne soit pas ou que partiellement traduit et que donc ça puisse buguer.
2) Un joueur connaissant Steam depuis plus de 2 mois aurait juste changer le language du jeu Krater et non pas celui du client Steam changeant automatiquement la langue de TOUT les jeux de la librairie et entrainant donc automatiquement des dizaines de mise à jour...


Fat Shark n'est pas responsable d'un pseudo "stupid advice" car une fois de plus c'est juste un problème d'interface chaise-clavier !

Ok thanx all. I understand my mistake now. Was so angry about this stupid thing : demo worked very nice & full game bought bugged without texts.

Why demo never required to change language stay mistery. Never a game required to change language in any way to play it.

like it was

Perhaps
Krater--> Properties --> Languages
would be more explicit ^^

If french language is not supported why this game never settings himself in english by default ?

French is partially supported, though I have earlier argued that Fatshark should set things to be default English and then people themselves should choose the language they want later. it's a safer approach.

Anyway with the translations, they are pretty much at the mercy of their publisher, their own money or some helpful and able fan making the translation. In short, if there is no money to do it, then fans will have to give a helping hand to get it done
