I don't know if anything has changed, but in November they said they weren't sure yet:

Would love to play this game.

It uses Air. Soo... makes it difficult, sadly. :(

What? Devs are still using AIR?

+1 Puhleeeease. I love your games.

Install the 2.6 SDK (NOT the Runtime) from (It's about half-way down). Set it's execute bit in the properties, or on the command line (chmod +x AdobeAIRInstaller.bin) and run it.

You may find that the game then starts but hangs. This is because AIR is asking you a question about it's configuration, but the dialog isn't appearing. If that happens, make sure that AIR isn't running (ps -A then kill -9 processid), open a terminal and enter these two commands:
touch ~/.appdata/Adobe/AIR/updateDisabled echo -n 2 > ~/.appdata/Adobe/AIR/eulaAccepted

Really want a Linux version. I loved the other Samarost games, plus Machinarium and Botanicula. That I can't properly play this is tremendously sad.

Perhaps devs no longer provide Linux ports of games that use AIR because it's tricky to automate the process....or they could be worried that since Adobe no longer update the Linux version they run the risk of getting blamed if they leave a customer's system open to bugs....

I thought that there were Linux versions of Samorost, Samorost 2, Machinarium and Botanicula on Steam, but no one of them exist... I guess that their Linux version is only available via Humble Bundle, and it isn't a good new. Almost all the the Linux games not supported on Steam that I bought in Humble Bundle have not any support, neither by Humble Bundle nor by the original publisher. Their customer support is the worst i have met on my life, at least for Linux users. It is a very bad idea to buy something in Humble Bundle if you can't redeem it on Steam.

Perhaps Amanita don't want to have to deal with the support issues for the reasons I suggested above so don't have them on Steam....

I can't believe Amanita Design still exports to Adobe AIR in freaking 2016. We have a bunch of alternatives like Haxe/OpenFL, guys. You can now create your game in Adobe Flash and compile it natively.
I would gladly like to hear some info concerning Linux native support.
As always no Linux native version no bucks.

Also looking to play on Linux, and will buy when and if comes!
