SLI not working properly
As there is no profile at the moment I had to tie the dirt4.exe to the dirt rally profile. This doubles the performance and activates my ageing GTX 670 SLI setup and makes the game playable but it also induces flickering.

So I'm hoping that Codies impliment proper SLI as they did in Dirt Rally and not ignore it completely as they did in F1 2016.

Anyone have any working bits that don't induce flicker?

Cheers.

Seems to be the case alright.

What sli bits are they using? Sli was supposed to work in F1 2016, but there were never any official bits for this either, and it never worked. Codemasters even mentioned sli improvments in their last patch.

New patch and still no SLI, so I think it's safe to assume that Dirt 4 has gone the same way as f1 2016. I gues Codies no longer support SLI. Wish they'd have announced that before I wasted money on a game I can't play.

AMD supports crossfire but it doest scale. single gpu runs smoother.

SLI works great in DR, not at all in D4. This seems to be a driver issue since AMD have gotten their driver working. I have been with nVidia support for a month, and they have asked me to do all kinds of ♥♥♥♥ without even confirming if they have it working themselves. They also say that no other have complained, so get to it guys! Send that error report to nVidia!

Yesterday I got this message:

"Thank you for the update and I am sorry for any inconvenience caused

We did have this checked with the back end team and it seems that this game is not multi-GPU friendly and hence for now there is no SLI support

Again I am sorry for any inconvenience that may have caused but please continue to post us for any further queries and we would be glad to assist you

Warm Regards,
NVIDIA Customer Care "

So there is that. probably 30 hours of installing and removing stuff, making videos and pictures, including reinstalling D4, making a second Admin account and what not. **** nVIDIA!

Edit:
And **** Codemasters too for not talking to us and telling us the truth so we dont waste
time on stuff they know is not working!

Then probably is a Codemasters thing...they make it Dirty 4 not PC friendly. What a pity, coming from fine Dirt Rally.

To Eagleizer; I asked for SLI support in the request thread in Geforce forums like other peoples...also asked to Codies in social networks before the Dirt 4 launch...never got a response.

I asked Codies on the first page of the DiRT4 version 1..04 - found a bug?
That was 22. June.

No answer, so 1 week later I contacted nVidia...

Here is my last message before they confirmed that SLI is not working:

Hi!

About this:

(Quote: nVidia support)
"Please elaborate "What OS are you using, and what hardware do you have to run DiRT4 in SLI?" (Quotes was my question to nVidia Support) Are you referring to the system requirements for the game or the system configuration on this PC ?"

Me:

No. I ask what OS, and hardware YOU are using to make the game run in SLI?
You have tested this, right?
It would be incredibly stupid if you are making me do all these tests, if SLI is not
enabled in the driver or game, right?
And since I in my very first message, specifically asked if this was an issue with
the driver, or if Codemasters were responsible for the lack of SLI support, I`ll take
it that you are able to run the game in SLI since you still want me to do further testing?

In my first message, 30.06.2017, I wrote this:

"Hi!

This driver was announced to have support for DiRT4. But I get close to no load on
second GPU. (4% load, 1% idle). In the DiRT4 forum, someone said that Codemasters
could do nothing about this, as it was the driver that did not distribute the load correctly.
Is this true?

Anything I can do to fix this?

Other games are using both GPU`s as expected.

Cheers :) "

Since I did not get an answer to my question, but were asked to test this and that,
I understood that as:"Yes, it is supposed to work."

----

16.07.2017, I repeated the question like this:

"It would be nice if I got answer to my questions as we go along so I don`t have to repeat
them and waste both your and my time. This includes questions in first mail. "

Cheers :)

----

17.07.2017, I repeated the question like this:

"This last observation leads me to the question from my very first message,
that I have repeatedly asked you to answer<.

Is this a DRIVER PROBLEM or a PROBLEM WITH THE GAME?

Here is my main question in my very first message:
"In the DiRT4 forum, someone said that Codemasters could do nothing about this,
as it was the driver that did not distribute the load correctly. Is this true? " "

----

I repeated my question 18.07.2017, when I wrote this:

"I asked in the first message if this problem was caused by the driver or Codemasters.
I have repeated the question, but you have ignored it. After all this time I really don`t
want to hear that this problem needs to be handled by Codemasters. "

----

That`s why I want you to tell me what system you are using to run DiRT4 in SLI.
If you cannot confirm that SLI is working with DiRT4, then all this testing makes no sense,
and your driver development team must take a look at it and make sure SLI is working.

I did try with a new Admin account, but still no load on GPU2.

Cheers :)

---------------------------

So the answer to my last message was this (as I posted above) :

"Thank you for the update and I am sorry for any inconvenience caused

We did have this checked with the back end team and it seems that this game is not multi-GPU friendly and hence for now there is no SLI support

Again I am sorry for any inconvenience that may have caused but please continue to post us for any further queries and we would be glad to assist you

Thanks for all the info mate. Ya, seems like a console port. No response form Codies is really insulting. I have a product that I can't use.
