Ships crashing into me when in sub-light

Hey guys, firstly I love playing this game, I've played for about 30 hours on GoG, but came here to request something...


Please please please do something about the ships that follow you in sub light. They constantly crash into me, knocking down my speed and forcing my autopilot to re-adjust all the time. Not only that, but the sound is really irritating when it's happening over and over again.

I know it's probably a small QoL fix that you could dish out on the next patch, but I feel it would take away a super annoying part of this game.

If you can patch this out, that would be amazing - thank you!!!

Given how many times this has been reported, I doubt it is a small, easy to fix thing.

there is a mod that changes the collision sound to something less annoying. you can try that mod out to see if its become more bearable.

Basically it's a rubberband issue that is to do with how the AI ships is coded to keep up with you. Probably not technically hard to fix but likely annoying and time consuming, so they can't be bothered...
