Looking for a No Repairs mod for weapons and armour.
Preferably one compatible with Complete. I found this mod: http://stalker.filefront.com/file/No_Weapon_Degrade100_Perfect_Dropped_Weapons;104715 . Regrettably, it crashes the game just before loading.

I'd be grateful for any help.

If you want to be boring about it you can go into the Stalker: CoP in your steamapps, then go into gamedata/scripts/inventory_upgrades.script and change the local repair_cost_factor to zero. Won't make all items drop at 100% but it'll make repairing free. I've got Misery installed. So it might be different. Doubt it, though.

It's not the money I'm concerned about, it's the fact that the degradation happens. It's a gameplay mechanic that has never appealed to me.

Then that basically fixes it. You'll be going to the Skodavosk and Yanov before they get like, really damaged at all. While you're there you can just top them up for free. I don't know of a fix to degredation, sorry. That's the best I could come up with.

Thanks, then I'll hope someone will come with a definite solution. Complete comes with an inbuilt trainer which grants all the money I'd care for, so that's not really an issue. (Not that I'd use it.)

Thanks, it's helpful.

I can't find the "repair_cost_factor", but i do find a line named "local cof = 0.6"
Change it to 0.5 and you'll get about 16% profit after you sell a repaired wepaon, I think it's reasonable.

Really, really hoping for a no-repairs mod still. ;-)

Now, now, they just try to set it up kind of like real life thats all, real wepons do tend to jam. And if your engaged in heavy fire with a very weather enviroment, well things wear out and tend to malfunction, can't even get around that in real life, that is why military are always cleaning the guns..

But I personaly don't care for how fast they wear down at all, as if all the berrels are made of cheap genaric metal when they are sopose to be made of heat treated steel and should last longer than that....did you not upgrade them?

Like I said a year ago, man... Just adjust the repair costs to 0 rubles. As far as I know, a No Repairs mod doesn't exist, but you're going back to the Skodavosk or Yanov Station or The Laundromat, just repair your stuff while you're there. It'll take 5 seconds and cost nothing if you edit the file.
