So no random joining coop action?
I read some reviews and it seems it has no opinion to join random people or like which means "friends only". i dont know if that is actually the case but it would really nice if a opinion would be there to "brows" the servers or join just a "quick match" tbh...

That is correct, unfortunately. Can only play co-op via invite.

There is heavy narrative progression in the campaign, so we thought it didn't make sense to have a lobby where people can drop-in drop-out. We thought people would only want to play this game with their friends.

I'll admit, we underestimated the desire for this feature. Unfortunately adding a matchmaking system is not trivial, and I think at this point is too late.

there is always the opinion to bring that back later in which would

1. be a reason to play it more often
2. a reason for me to actually buy it
3. eb a nice feature to explore the community or/and help others out

Looks like im not the only one who would like this opinion in. So you really should think about it to build it in in a later update. Im sure a lot people would enjoy it.

This game is worth playing solo, guys.

After playing through a lot of the story, the structure really doesn't lend itself to matchmaking.

Though I would still love for some sort of end game with matchmaking separate from the main story like Strikes in Destiny.
Yeah, probably the game is good in single player, but the reason I buy steam games, most of the time, is to be able to play over and over and repeat a game over and over as I know it's going to be so much fun, that's why I don't even buy steam games these days, games that are great but only 3 hours or 4 hours long I have to say no.
I loved castlle crashers because of how easy it was to find people and just mess around, and if it is a single player, I love night in the woods because of how you can have multiple playthroughs and still discover new things

Can I just have a co-op Rogue Legacy? Pretty please with suger on top? :D Jokes aside, this looks amazing, but i'm not sure if me and the old lady can handle this kind of action. But we both adore Rogue Legacy. I even bought 2 copies so we could both play without trading off.

I dont understand how is that a problem to you ? There's over 300 people in this forum alone playing this game you could hit them up and add them and play with them ? That way you might even start a voice chat call and chat and have better coordination
Rather than a complete random stranger you dont know where they're from even.

Also its option not opinion "you said that like 4 times lol"

Just start a discussion and invite people to join your friend list so you can play? I don't see how this is a problem, unless you just don't want to communicate with people to get co-op games going.

Random matchmaking is not needed, use the features available to get online games going.

I don't mind it being invite only. I just wish you weren't restricted to inviting friends only.

I don't like friending randos on Steam just for a quick game session that I may never play w/ them again. I know the benefits of networking and making more steam friends, etc, but I try to keep my list tight and actually somewhat personal.

That's fair enough. But the game seems to require a decent amount of coordination for multiplayer to work, I'm not sure if having random players join up to take control of a character would really work.

Maybe some code for allowing people not on your friend's list to be invited to your server? So you could just share that instead of being restricted to friends only?

We've created an official Discord channel. I'm a bit unfamiliar with the software, so please bear with me:
