Sponsor Payouts
If both my cars finish race within target why don't both cars get paid out?

The sponsor agreements are based on where your highest-performing driver finishes. So, for example, if your sponsor target is tenth or better and your drivers finish 6th and 7th, you'll get the alloted money your sponsor agreed to. You won't get paid double, because it's only based on the top driver.

thanks Bret. Money so tight it would be nice if they opened that up

While we're on the subject, and I'm not sure it requires a new thread, this area is another one that doesn't make sense.

Theoretically sponsors pay you for visibility. So two cars finishing within target is twice the exposure, hence they must pay for each car. So in my mind it's not something that needs to be added but a bug that needs to be fixed.

Also, please add some brains to the sponsors. Why is it that Raptor, dead last in the previous season and in the current one, receives 9 times out of 10 proposals with bonuses for a P2 finish? It's not only unattainable and useless for me, but again does not make sense since just googling "raptor 2016" would show the potential sponsor that he would never ever get the P1/P2 exposure they want.

Also, if I have sponsor1 paying me to be 16 or above, and sponsor2 for 9 or better, why do I have to choose who to bring with me to the race? What does it even mean, "choose who to bring to the race". They both have a contract in place, both paid upfront what had to be paid, both have their decals on my cars... but I have to choose which one I'll be gambling with bonus-wise? In what universe does this make sense? This has to be fixed so all 3 of my per-race sponsors have to be active every race, as their contracts and decals are, bonuses from all three are the only reason we even have a contract in place, and if car1 finishes 8th it has to receive bonuses for both since it fulfilled both contracts, plus if car2 finished 16th it has to receive the bonus from sponsor1 as well.

Now if by this feature you wanted to add gambling to every race, then just add real betting.

You didn't specify anything regarding you team and situation so here are a couple of generic advice if you are having problems economic wise in game. My basic rules of thumb I always go by are a) never overpay for drivers & staff and b) do not over reach with your team goal for the year.

The first one here is the more important one as you can easily bankrupt your team if you do not manage your salaries. If you were to break the rule about overpaying, then do it on a short contract but never ever on a long one. The simplest way of balancing your books is to use pay drivers. Get one 'real' driver and you may even give him number 1 role in order to lure them over and then two pay drivers on number 2/reserve roles on both if they are currently unemployed. During the season use the 'real' driver on his car during practive and the reserve pay driver for the second car. This way you get the full payment from the main pay driver and 50% payment from the reserve one and that should be enough to cover your 'real' drivers salary. This way your drivers do not cost you but may even give you some extra income depending on your division.

The second rule is more towards keeping your job safe. Even when the more monies for higher goal is often very tempting, always pick a goal that you can achieve. It's better to over perform and have a extatic chairman then under perform and have the axe hanging over your head. I learned this the hard way after getting fired during my Managerial Mogul run from Kitano because I picked a little too high goal.

Regarding sponsor deals, I've come across several times when I had three bad offers for the same sponsor slot. In these cases it can be better to run a couple of races with an empty slot in order to get new (hopefully better) offers when the current ones expire. Also the second rule of thumb regarding not over reaching should also be applied when picking race sponsors. For example, if you have one offer for 800k for 3rd place and say 500k for 6th in a race where you think you can make a run for 3rd. In this case pick the 6th place for a almost guaranteed 500k instead of the maybe 800k. Especially in the early season races where so many things can go wrong.

I'm gonna stop writing now because it's becoming a wall of text but if you have any questions feel free to ask ;)

@neofit

All your three points are valid from the 'reality' point of view but these are the mechanics in place and since it's already easy to make money in game there is no need to add to it.

I'd rather things made sense instead of being at a phone game level of silly and easy.
