I skip the tutorial when playing demo, and cant play it now

I've beaten the final boss with 5 bolt pacts twice but the challenge isn't completed. Is unlocking it bugged or is the challenge text wrong?

I aim and try to shoot onto the wheel, but there's a barrier and I can't get out of the starting circle. This is the Marty Martingale minigame, which is the second one I've come to and it just keeps repeating, I have no idea how to proceed.
