I lost my Galaxy Sword, can't get it back.
Hi, I just lost my Galaxy Sword by 'dying'. I didn't close and restart the game because I had another prismatic shard in my inventory, so I could get another Galaxy sword. I went to sleep, the game saved, I went back to the desert with my Prismatic Shard aaand ... I can't get the Sword anymore. So, it's an unique item, you can get it only once .. Why can we even lose an unique item forever just by dying ? This is clearly not "balanced".
Anyways I wanted to know if anyone could help me about editing the savefile to get another one ? I searched for it but I didn't find the right way to do it .. :(

I can imagine several ways to achieve that.
- You could get a savefile which contains that sword and copy it.
- You could try to reconstruct it blind.
- You could try to reset the event flag.
And maybe other ways...

+ How to reset the event etc ? I only found once the "galaxy" word in the savefile and it is out of nowhere, just a small line out of nowhere

Items have a defined format inside the savefile.
Most values can easily be reconstructed.
Other could be a problem and would need trial and error.

That said it would be much easier to just copy an existing one.
If I had one of these shards I could get the sword and provide the data.

There's a eventsSeen section which contains all IDs for seen events.
The question is which id is the right one.

I deleted every events, came to the desert, still doesn't work. I guess it isn't count as an "event", there must be another keyword for these kinds of event ...

I will take a look after I've got home.

Thanks :) I tried to delete the "<string>GalaxySword</string>" line, it didn't work either ..

Seems to be the best way. If anyone got the Galaxy sword, can he please go to his savefile, search for galaxy sword, and copypasta me all these informations ? So I could just replace this item by the galaxy sword.

If you undid all the changes with the events and so on it should be no problem to just replace the complete item section for the lava sword with the galaxy sword.

You could also fill an empty slot with it. Your decision.

Just to let you know - there's a much easier way:
1. Download SMAPI (http://community.playstarbound.com/threads/stardew-modding-api.107021/)
2. Use "player_additem" command

Hopefully this can help someone who's also having a unique item disappearance freak accident
