Acro PIDs
Hey guys,

Just though I'd create a thread for people to share their PIDs and to also help improve them too. Heres what I have come up with so far. It's not perfect by any means. But it feels a hell of a lot better then the stock PIDs and will be good as base for you tweak if needs be :)

These are my PID's using the UserData.xml seetings on page 3.

Since the newest update to Liftoff the PID controller is fully working. I have tuned my PIDs to that shown in the attached image. Note the rotational values I have set after clicking the "High" button. These values may seem too fast or slow depending on your flying style.

The UserData.xml should be at default settings for the full effect to be felt. The default Development settings should you not have an original should be as shown here:
<development_ForceDrag>false</development_ForceDrag>
<development_AirDrag>1</development_AirDrag>
<development_UnityDrag>0</development_UnityDrag>
<development_ForceMass>false</development_ForceMass>
<development_ForcedMass>0</development_ForcedMass>
The quad setup I am using is:
Frame - Vortex 250 pro
Motors - Cobra 2300kv
Props - CF 5x4.5
Battery - Camulus 1300mah 4s
Camera - 40° with 2.8mm lens
These PID settings are the most locked in I have felt thus far. Your mileage may vary.

They work great.

These Pids works great, I only hear a wobble sometimes on full throttle. But it seems to be an Soundbug, i cant see some vibrations

Heres my P.I.Ds,I FPV in RL and these settings feel like a well tuned F3 Flight Controller or KISS Flight Controller. I personally own a Alien 5" KISS setup and a QAV180 F3 setup on Lux Float and Multishot. These settings are locked in. Make sure your Radio(Transmitter) inputs are not jumping all over the place or it will destroy these P.I.Ds. Go to calibration and check, if it is just add deadzone to each input until jumping stops. No expo is needed here but you can add for a even more locked in feel. I tune in Real Life both KISS FC and SPRacing F3 Flight Controllers. Enjoy.

Set "Preset" to(Medium) and input these P.I.Ds

( P I D)

Pitch [ 2 ] [ 2.2 ] [ 0.02]

Roll [ 1.8 ] [ 2.3] [0.02]

Yaw [ 1 ] [1.2] [0.02]

Using Boof69s settings:

<development_ForceDrag>false</development_ForceDrag>
<development_AirDrag>1</development_AirDrag>
<development_UnityDrag>0</development_UnityDrag>
<development_ForceMass>false</development_ForceMass>

Damn thats an amazing feeling to fly this.. I fly the same like you now, just with 30° Camera Angle.

Edit: I made an Video, flying with these pids. Check it out in the Pinned Video Thread. The Pid´s helped me a lot to fly

Thank you so much for sharing Ghost. As a relative newcomer I have found these make the world of difference to me 'learning the ropes'. I have gone from missing most of the gates and just flying by them to nearly a whole circuit through the gates in just two flights since the PID change.

I fly FPV IRL as well and these settings feel a lot like my SRD 195 running Betaflight. Now I am loving this game all over again!

PITCH - [ P= 2.3] [ I= 0.2 ] [ D = 0 ]
Roll - [ P=2.4 ] [ I= 0.2 ] [ D=0 ]
Yaw -[ P=1 ] [ I=1 ] [ D=0 ]
Rates are at 1054 for all.

Expo to your preference.

Thank you Ghost for the PIDs! Now flying is more accurate. However, I dont feel the gravity... I am floating all the time, and that is far away from real life; I dont like floating in liftoff .. Any suggestion for use that PIDs plus custom physics?

What motors and props are you using?
zawozki Sep 6, 2016 @ 2:55am
where are those settings on a mac now? can't find this player.xml...read through the whole thread here but i don't find anything useful on my mac.
