a lot of them are pretty epic as far as equips stats go and it may be nice to have a "fun" category
The less said about that story, the better. Really besides the bonus characters you may as well pretend that mode doesn't exist.
Yeah, I'd rather not considering one of the best health% items is easily available from there. Bonfires early in the game make the big bang strat really easy - plus who wouldn't want to be able to find just a really majorly huge ass bell in the dungeons?
Also as a side note: None of the extra characters express their title colors properly
The what
Yeah it is, but that likely requires some disassembly and modifying the game executable because of how dungeon creator works.
It's probably easier to edit the .DAT files and replace some of the items in existing story stages with the new ones.
I wanted to do more for this mod, but i have way too many other things going on and way too little time for all of that, so it's unfortunately on the far end of my priority list.
Quote from a gamefaqs document by CarbunkleFlux,
"The Equip% is essentially the modifier to the item's stats that determines how
much of those stats is actually given to the equipper. For example, say a
Mushroom has 30,000 HP. The Equip% for HP is 30%. So the amount of HP you'd
get when equipping the Mushroom is 9000, which is 30% of 30,000."
If I recall correctly the PS2 version had a screen that showed the equip% during fusion meaning you can keep track of the equip% easily, but in the wii version and beyond being able to see the equip% seems to have vanished just like the elemental icon for many skills. Its not a big deal during the main story, but come post-game the diminishing returns of raising stats alone shows immensely, especially if you are doing the new superbosses the wii and further introduced. This is where the Equip% starts to become vital as it allows you to gain not only the full benefits of an item, you can also exceed it. (though its very grindy.)
Regardless focusing on the skills missing element icons was the more important thing and I understand if you are too busy to even add minuscule thing. Funny enough if you level a mercenary they will start selling weapons with the label(not title) of 'dark' these dark weapons automatically have a high equip% by default making them great for raising equip% for physical based weapons. The downside is that there is no int, res, or other stat equivalent, so I usually end up going physical marona once I get to post-game.
EDIT: I searched some topics on this forum and it seems others noticed too. The Equip% HUD I am referring to comes from the fusionist NPC when you speak to her for fusing weapons.
