Game Just Crashed on The Kid's Third Level

After about an hour of trying I got to the final level of The Kid's warp zone... and my game crashes.

Welp, guess I'm done playing SMB for a while, lol. Don't think a video game has ever made me feel so defeated.

Don't give up! I believe in you! Or just play the game forward and come back to The Kid's warp zone later, no reason to put the whole game on hold because of this.

Odd. The exact same thing happened to me yesterday.

To be fair I had alt-tabbed to go check a run through of the level on YouTube just to get an idea of how people approached it, but I've alt-tabbed in SMB before without issue, so it was frustrating nonetheless.

If you had also alt-tabbed, that is probably why.

well if you tried for an hour you are pretty much into the levels, so i dont think you would spend too much time on level 1 and 2.

I got to the last level as well, but after the other two i simply gave up. I was defeated. I honestly could not beat that level.

I felt like the last level was the hardest, too. The first was actually VERY fun, it felt like a challenge. The second level was pretty easy, not really challenging but more of a test of patience. The last level just felt like a battle against the Kid's slow mechanics.

I feel like the third one, while it was arguably the hardest and required the most focus and perfect timing, was still tolerable. I didn't like the second one at all, it was more annoying since it took a lot more time simply due to the fact that most of the deaths happened after about 10-20 seconds into the level (the third elevator for me mainly).

Luckily, patience pays off and I unlocked The Kid eventually even after having to complete the first two levels for the second time.

If you had also alt-tabbed, that is probably why.

Everytime I alt-tab my game crashes. I just use the steam browser.
