Super Meat Boy

Why do people say controller is better for this game?
I'm on world 4 with keyboard, and whilst the game is hard, it's definitely not the controls that's causing it (most of the time they're quite good.)

I looked up "super meat boy controller or keyboard" and a lot of people are saying they find it really frustrating with keyboard and they find a controller much better. Why?

The game doesn't use analog controls so there wouldn't be any advantage of an analog stick - if anything, it's a disadvantage to not be able to change direction as quickly.

Keyboard is fine, if not better. The only real advantage I can think of is ergonomic; controllers are way more comfortable than a keyboard. But, for me, the discomfort only starts to kick in on long play sessions (5+ hours). And your hands/forearms can get used to it with time, so not really THAT big of a deal.

People who complain about playing 2D platformers on keyboard are just not used to it.

I agree, it's all about comfort.

I used both Keyboard and Contoller (Xbox One S, not the recommended 360 one with that awful dpad), and I find I perform better with a contoller. Of course it takes getting used to the transition from controller to keyboard, but I played this game with a keyboard months before a controller, and controller is my better option. Of course if you can adapt, that's you, not me.
