Looking for Players? AI War Sortie Bulletin - Summer 2013
Hello! In preparation of the summer season, we're renewing the bulletin of folks looking for people to play AI War with. The old Fall 2013 topic with 18 replies can be found here.

Please remove your post if you no longer are able to play; subscribing to this topic will give you instant notifications on new replies. Make a post with the bullet points below (for ease of readability), and add others to your friend list who qualify to your preferences and timezones. Please keep other chat and replies out of this topic.

- Country/timezone:
- Time availability:
- Expansions:
- Dedication to a long-term game:
- Certainty of ability to host game:
And other aspects you find relevant to your game-finding experience.

"Dedication to a long-term game" spanning from 12 hours to 24 to 46 and beyond over multiple sessions: are you willing to commit? Many folks really want stable and reliable partners for the best AI War experience instead of those who will start a game, but will decide to drop out sooner than preferred.

"Certainty of ability to host game"; are you 100% certain someone else can connect to your AI War game, or do you need Hamachi, Tunngle, or other virtual private networks (VPN)? Keep in mind only the host needs to ensure ports have been forwarded; if those are open, then those who don't have ports open can probably join without issue. All players must use the same UDP port in their networking options menu ingame; the default is 32320.

Please check this forum topic[www.arcengames.com] if you are wondering why the game does not have an in-game matchmaking service; it also includes more ways of finding other people to organize games.

- Country/timezone: USA, West PST (GMT -8:00)
- Time availability: Varied. Saturdays, always.
- Expansions:
Zenith Remnant
Children of Neinzul
Light of the spire

- Dedication to a long-term game:
I enjoy longer games although my schedule changes so much. Might be hard for any other time than Saturdays

- Certainty of ability to host game:
100% I've got everything port forwarded and I've hosted several games with my friend both over lan and across town from different locations along with a couple games involving more than 2 players.

-Other:
I've only ever won one game. Took several hours and was on the easier of difficulties. Have tried several attempts at higher difficulties but so far I quit and don't resume the play throughs after I while. I can hold my own against higher difficulty AI but it is a lot harder to put them in check too.

EDIT(6/22/13): As an added note won't play on hamachi servers.

- Time availability: Any time i'm on steam shoot me a message/ inv :)
- Expansions: gotta catch them all! (I have all) Indie Royale FTW
- Dedication to a long-term game: Heck yes, marathons? maybe.... you can ask if I have the time when you message :)
- Certainty of ability to host game: I have a dell Inspiron, I5, dedicated graphics card.

Can I host? Yeah....
Should I host? Not really....

skill level?

I'm better than some, even more so with micro....
Control V is a SAD alternative and I only use it when i'm busy

I just took on mediums and wasn't very challenged, I play with most options enabled because the more variety the better. I'm fine with a simpler game. I'm more turtle than agressive, more explotative than honorable (hey it's just an AI :P ), but the turtle in me can go throw off his shell if shown how, I'll always be explotative though. There's no honor in a war agianst ai :)

I also play well with others, If someone tells me to be a certain role, and they aren't a noob, i'll be down, always want to improve my game and I think one of the fastest ways is being taught by others.

Don't have a mic, but I can get one :)
