Whats wrong with this game??
I played this game for 25 hours and enemies ♥♥♥♥ me like a little barbie. What the ♥♥♥♥?? First i skilled voodoo to level 6 just to realize that voodoo is worth just nothing!! Seriously, what is it good for? The damn sceptors wont work on enemies. Some are immune, some are too skilled.?! Nice that i spend thousands of gold just to realize that it was for nothing! Im playing this game on easy now and im pritty much ♥♥♥♥♥♥ off. And when there are two or more enemies at the same time.. thats so bad news. I keep trying to run away until only one enemy chases me so i maybe have a chance to kill him.
How do you find the fighting system?

I posted somewhere I don't like the fighting system nor the leveling system. I looked up some quest stuff early in the game and discovered voodoo was useless so I avoided it and I went with inquisition. Seems the only cool thing about voodoo is making a doll and using it against the temple giants; instant kill I think. However, it's not necessary as you can run from the giants and get to a staircase where they can get stuck and then just open a musket on them. If you want to get gold easily, you can bring up the developer console and give your character gold. Search the net for the command.

I liked the fighting system. Would I want it for everygame, no, but I liked it for this game. I stayed away from muskets and voodo, and focused on pistols and swords.

I felt the combat went well with the game's artsyle and graphics.

Just block and walk backwards that helps to isolate people in a group of enemies.

Ok, i was a bit unfair. I think i played the game wrongly.

I was used to just throwing fireballs, which worked well in all Gothic games and Risen 1. As a mage not beeing able to survive without the use of a 'normal' weapon was not so easy to accept.

So I skilled my sword, learned some moves and now combat is somewhat ok. Even if multiple enemies are around i made them attack themself with the help of a sceptor. I think i must have played the game completely wrong.

Now its much more fun :-)

Combat became easy with two or three blade upgrades but I read the enemies get tougher; I wouldn't know as my game crashes consistently when Crow spawns the rock monster.

Muskeets are always the answer.

I played this the voodoo path (though focussed mainly on my rapier) and still thought this game was too easy and mainstreamed for a PB game.

When i get a chance to replay this game i will certainly try to focus mainly on voodoo and see how that works out and report about it :)
Though i don't think PB meant it to be used as a main weapon like muskets but more like a side/tool thing (i found especially taking over other ppl useful)

And as reading/hearing about muskets being damn overpowered, i'm not even going to consider to do a playthrough with that path :/

IMO they're not overpowered, they're just... Not as painful as trying to sword your way through the game. As in 'you avoid the painful combat system'.
