Creating an online profile in Nail'D
I bought this game and a second copy for my friend so we can play online together , this
is what steam said about this game attributes, well all we got was an (ERROR) creating
an online profile, which is the only way to play (Online) we tried LAN and nothing , I am
really disappointed again with steam, I feel if they are going to sell a game they must
know if its in its entirety and complete , after all if Steam Said; (oh by the way there is
no multi-player oh and you have to do a bunch of crap that is beyond your scope when
you only want to play a game - to get this game to even start and stay started I wouldn't
have bought it , I even went to you tube before and watched vids and not one single
person mentioned anything about this games online game play other than it has online
game play , if anyone has any input on (Not being able to create an online profile in
Nail'D I would greatly appreciate it .

So, I suppose that it doesn't have any multiplayer and online mode?? Because I wanted to buy it, but just for the multiplayer, if it doesn't have, nevermind

Problem is at server of whoever made this game (Techland/Deep Silver), problem is not with Steam/Valve who just sell this game. So send email to support at developer or publisher and maybe they'll fix their servers then.

I contacted their support about this issue and I am waiting to hear back. Picked up the game on sale and I am a bit disappointed that their multiplayer doesn't seem to be working.

Good luck with that. They didn't even fix the crash bugs most people are having.

this is what they said about the online profile issue: make sure that you open port 27345 for UDP in your firewall/router.
Maybe you also need to add Naild_x86.exe to your firewall white list.
I haven't tried to open the port yet.

Do you guys have any luck with this? I don't seem to manage, and it keeps giving me that - by now - realy frustrating time out message.
I have windows 7 and have opened the 27345 using UDP in the windows firewall and disabled my bitdefender firewall, but it still doesn't work.
I disabled my windows firewall and bitdefender firewall for the hell of it, and nothing (and I have added the exe to the white list, but that was already in there). Do you have more succes?

Hey everyone, I just bought this game and I had trouble getting the game to work as well, the way I got it to work was by not creating an online profile so make sure you change the creat/recover internet profile to create local profile. I know it sucks we can't play online but you should be able to play local, Any ways I also had trouble installing the game on Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit. So I had to download the demo from gamershell.com and install it followed up by copying the .dll files from the demo.

Here is the reply from tech support about this game. Of course the game was advertising multiplayer on steam' store page and I really wanted it to work. I bought it when it was listed as a feature however you can see the reply from deep silver below about it not being active for MONTHS!

I hope Valve owns up here and offers me a refund (rather than credit) because this is clearly false advertising. Similar to what happened to The WarZ but Steam offered a refund in that case.

Dear Customer,

thank you for your inquiry.

Unfortunately the nail'd multiplayer servers were switched off in March 2012 already due to the decreasing demand for this service from our players.

We sincerely apologize for the inconveniences caused.

As you can see, multiplayer is no longer listed at the store (as of 1/6/13) but it was when I bought it. http://i.imgur.com/vfry6.jpg

Guys Valve came through with a refund for me.

CHECK CARD CREDIT [numbers] VIS 0109 STEAMPOWERED.COM BELLEVUE WA
$2.49

From the email:

Please note in the future that Steam purchases, per the Steam Subscriber Agreement, are not refundable - this refund was issued as a one-time customer service gesture.

So if you fight it based of evidence and fact, are polite and fully prepared to take legal action, you can get a refund on this if you bought it when it still listed multiplayer as an available feature (anytime between March 2012 - Jan 5 2013). Note that Valve has removed that feature from the description so the description of the game is now accurate.

Is it worth your time or money to fight it? It's up to you. The principle of getting what is advertised that you payed for is worth it to me. If you're happy with just single player in this game...then maybe not.

Thank you Valve for coming through on this.

Good advice on creating local profile instead of internet profile, I really did not notice that before..

Works fine after that at least on my computer.
It's not Motorstorm or similar but for the price (€5) it's ok I think (just my opinion).

you have to replace the "ini" files in the game with the "ini" file from the beta
and the game will work fine , but there is still no multiplayer
