Metro is also good and comes with a special "no civ kills and side quests done" ending if you like that kind of thing. Its also more of an action than sneaking game though, sneaking is only useful on the higher difficulties to save on your very finite ammo.
While the BioShock games are great, I don't think I'd say they're like Dishonored (gameplay at least).

Thief Gold/Dark Project and Thief Metal Age are good (that's one and two).
Thief Deadly Shadows (third game) was down-rated for it to run on the Xbox Original, which a lot of the PC crowd hated; however, Thief Deadly Shadows has that one award winning mission, The Shalebridge Cradle, which is leagues ahead of any mission in the previous two Thief games.
As for the rebooted Thief (from Square Enix), you can skip it. Even the SE suit mook I bumped into after the game's launch wanted to kill himself for being a part of that project.
