Denuvo DRM: 5 activation only? Are we joking???
I've read that this game uses this "DENUVO" DRM, and that you can activate a game only 5 times on 5 different PC.

Does it mean that, if I have to reinstall it on my 6° PC, or for the sixth time on the same machine (if every installation counts), I have to buy it again? I really hope that this isn't the case. However, I curse the unreasonable habit (today it seems a quite emerging tendency) to use additional DRM on Steam. It is only a way to damage honest customers like me, who always buy original games.

5 activations in 24 hours. If you run out of activations for the day, just wait 24h.

So I can reinstall the game everytime I want, and the only problem is if it I install it in different machines on the same day? (It'd be a very strange thing to do). If it's the case, the matter is ok. Thanks for answering.

Yes, you never run out of activations. You can activate 5 times every 24 hours.
In reality you never hit the limit unless you're constantly switching between beta patches or running benchmarks across multiple systems. And then you just wait 24 hours.

Incorporates 3rd-party DRM: Denuvo Antitamper
5 different PC within a day machine activation limit

"A DAY"

5 different PC within ----->a day<----- machine activation limit

Thanks for your explanation. Has this DRM any "extra" unwanted effect? Some users tell that the performances of the game suffer because of it. Any of of you, boys, have problems about this?

I have denuvo in several of my games and never had a problem. You can even block the games .exe on your firewall after it's activated.
It sometimes needs to re-activate after a big windows update (because it thinks it's a different system), then you just need to re-allow it once on your firewall and you're good to go again.

Thank you very much; your explanations have been very useful to me.

Thanks for your explanation/clarification! I found this via a Google search about an unrelated game.

Some games have a "lifetime" limit of 5 activations :( Denuvo 5 activations per day is only a problem for people who benchmark games performance on different hardware (Denuvo uses hardware fingerprinting, like Windows activation does).

Interesting. I had some problems with GTA V and Deus Ex MD after I bought a new grappy cardy, both games refused to start, after I poked the herrings eyes with a spoon for a few weeks I made another user account on windows and Hey Breasto both games worked like Carmela on Sopranos, only that I have to log on to that other account when I wants to play with my ding-a-ling.

The problem with denuvo is that it hurts only the customer, no one else.

Nice necro!
Old thread, and should be stated now that Denuvo has been taken out of the game.

i just wanna make things clear, so if had 15 pcs, i can install the game for the whole pcs in 3 days? 5pcs in a day?
1st day install on 5 pcs, 2nd day install on other 5pcs, 3rd day on another pcs.
so when i do the 2nd day, will the 5pcs on 1st day still can be played? and the 3rd day, 10 pcs on days earlier still can be played?

or when i do 2nd day, the first 5 pc on 1st day will be revoked the access?

sorry for bad english i just curious and wanna make things clear about this anti tamper

Does the 24 hour reset at 12 am or does the 24 hour start when the 5 machine thing hit the limit?
