Still some issue with AI tunnel construction.
Well this happen only one time but still it was not perfect.

I gonna try to explain :

I place one building and now i gonna connect it to 3 other building with tunnel. Now i stay in the midst of that building and i gonna make one tunnel 09.00 a clock - another 12.00 a clock - last one 14.00.

So to make this happen i tell them to build 1 tunnel 12.00 a clock and the next one 14.00 a clock at the same time.
Keep in mind they only have free space outside the tunnel to the left - right and south and only one AI build each stage.

He did build these two tunnel perfect but when i tell them to build the last tunnel 09.00 a clock then AI go inside and build it and now he was trapped.
I destroy the last tunnel and tell him to build it again and the same happen again , he was trapped.

To make this work i need to build one tunnel 09.00 a clock first then they build 12.00 a clock next and to the end they build the last one to 14.00 a clock.

As i say this happen only one time and , well now you know.

Yes, you can trap both robots and colonists inside your base. They have no understanding of the overall layout and cannot tell they're going to be trapped.

Many bases end up as a ring around a mountain, and robots and colonists can get trapped in the 'hole' in the ring. Your solution, to remove one tunnel temporarily, works. Another solution is to build an airlock that lets them get into and out of the 'hole'. This has the added advantage that if one part of the ring gets destroyed by a meteor, an engineer can get to it to repair it.

Yes, this is unfortunatelly a know bug. We looked into it a few times, but we decided not to fix it, as we prefer not to change the pathfinding anymore at this stage, and you can work around in the way you say.
