Thank you VERY much for this update, and for continuing to support this game. I completely respect developers who take the time to add more stuff to their game in order to teach us how to play your game effectively. Too many games nowadays ignore tutorials.

I don't need complete hand holding, but complex games do need a bit of explaining and/or a really good manual.

Anyway . . . thank you, and know that your efforts are super appreciated.
Anywhere I can find info on future updates/installments? I've played the game to death and would love something fresh, so anywhere I can get news on a planetbase 2 or big content update for this game (which seems nigh improssible at this point) would be great.

Hi there, we are now working on the spiritual succesor for Planetbase, a game with similar mechanics (but a bit more RTSish) and in a totally different setting.

We expect to announce something before the end of the year, and release in 2018, but at this stage nothing is 100% certain.

Glad to hear it. Planetbase is still a goto game for me, like Banished

Tip- Make sure you don't make too much starch early on... it builds up. I remember having nearly 1000 starch on one save and it took me days (irl) to finish it up before I could balance production/consumption properly.

unicorn_impaler, you couldn't sell it off?

You can also construct a storage unit, turn the other storage units off, deconstruct the new storage unit when it's close to full, then delete the starch cubes on the ground. It's messy, but if you're taking days to balance the production/consumption properly anyway, that can be a faster way.

As far as feedback, I was hoping for new content for the game, but I got more than my money's worth as it is, so I don't feel any sense of the developer having some kind of obligation to provide it.

I never thought about deconstructing the storage.... Well that's a ton of my time wasted.

Well, I hate for you to feel like you wasted your time. Mostly I didn't want you to have to do the same process again in the future, and to let anyone who comes along know there's another way to do it.

I pretty much gave up on the game a few months ago, so I only play for a few minutes every few weeks now. Thanks anyway, though, and I hope this helps some newbies out.

Mart, have you ever thought about adding any new buildings or mechanics like new enemies? Like i totally respect that if you are the only one [or two] developing the game, i can see the delay, and also you may have a multitude of project [like you mentioned]

The thing is that adding new buildings or mechanics to a finished game will take a massive amount of time. We believe it is more productive to work on a new project, we are structuring it quite differently with a ton of techs to research and buildings that get unlocked as you play.

I'll happily buy it when it comes out.
