Event Update: Carnival of Sorrows 2018 Edition!

Darkness descends upon the Crusaders, bringing with it unknown horrors and twisted new Tier 4 Objectives.

Crusaders arrive from beyond the veil: Chiyome, The Half-Blood Elf, Mindy the Mime, Mister the Monkey, and Pete the Carney have stepped out from the shadows. A new Crusader joins them.

The Carnival of Sorrows as returned. Do you have what it takes to unlock our latest Crusader in our first-ever Tier 4 Event?

Carnival of Sorrows 4 runs until Tuesday, October 16th at noon Pacific, and introduces Sashimi the Seal in seat 29!

I have no idea why but for some reason I dont seem to be accumulating the event currency. So far I have done the recruit Mr Monkey mission and have 1095 tickets. So out of a possible 2340 accumulation I am missing about 550. What causes this loss which seems pretty bad considering it was running all night and I was not in a mission select screen so was always killing monsters. Note it was wierd but this morning when i got back to the pc it was showing server not responding and then when that cleared kept having tickets drop at about 1/second which gave me ~500 which all disappeared after I did the reset. So did the game correct itself and then 'uncorrect' itself?

If the game is open and loses connection to the server at any point, either because of the internet or you hibernating your computer, then you don't get event currency for that dead time.

So this means I really should not play the game on my mobile when travelling or I will lose event currency? This feature seems to really devalue the taskmasters.

It's stated in the latest reddit Q&A (126) that the t4 crusaders MAY include lower seats as well:

''The Carnival of Sorrows new Tier 4 Crusader will occupy Seat 29. Just because she's going there, doesn't mean that all Tier 4 Crusaders will be relegated to Seats 29 to 33. We may introduce them to other seats lower on the bench as the event continue.''

How does mobile come into this, when your game lost connection to the server on your PC overnight?

because if i am running the game on my mobile as a passenger a fair amount of time it gives the cannot connect to server message each time it saves, and you said above when tht happens it is not generating event tokens. Also as far as the pc is concerned the taskmasters are good for gaining idols but not so good at generating the event tickets as they are being ignored if pc hibernates or has an interrupted connection as you said above.

Event tickets always seem to come at about the same rate, logged in or not.

They're still picked up at the automatic point or at area change.

I was thinking the same, does this mean now Slot 1 to slot 4 (once 32nd slot is implemented) will have the same max level once Bonus Training is maxed out? I don't mind getting 25extralevel for Chiyome everytime we get a new Slot :).

I am also wondering if the 300 EP the seal got will stay for the future T4 Crusaders or if this is just to balance out for the missing new Gamemechanic (whatever that would be).
I personally would love to get 300 EP for free with every T4 Event crusader.

Just place Mindy in a formation slot where she is only adjacent to two other crusaders like so:

So you'd have Pete and Mister the Monkey adjacent to Mindy (where Dr Evil and Billy are in my formation), or better yet to have Mindy at the front (for WW formation) when using Pete and Mister as mimic targets.

The achievement doesn't have to be completed in the event formation. Make sure Mindy is level 300, Mister level 75 and Pete level 75.

Just put Sashimi in a formation with 5 crusaders that have the gold find tag and a formation ability which provides gold (so Panda shouldn't count). Position doesn't matter.
