Portal textures are werid plz HELP!

I was doing something a long time ago i dont know the place more portals cheat ya that and then the portal textures were like off and even when i download a skin pack like portal skinpack it just has the same portal HELP!

I have download Portal: First Slice for 1,5 hour. I am ready with level 12 and have a big problem with level 13. Directly after the lift is a zone without texture. I can not go forward. Have you the same problem?

ok i dont have first slice but the portal rextures are like weird like i downloaded a skin pack for portals and its like not appearing i downloaded it porperly but just find some one who knows of this plz do it for me!

Most likely the game reverting back to Directx 8. Try adding "-dxlevel 90" or "+mat_level 92" in your startup options. Then take it out after you've loaded the game up at least once, or else it won't save your in-game video options.

That's the end of the demo, they didn't put any ending to it or anything, so when you get to the end it's just a wall of unloaded textures not included in the demo. Portal: First Slice is the demo for Portal 1, it may have been lazy to not include an ending to the demo but just be thankful they gave you that many levels to playthrough, 12/19 ain't bad.

Ok, COMMANDER ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, please, just slow down, and slowly explain to us (me) what's going on with your game. Are you saying that the redering for the other side of your portals not rendered correctly?

thank you now i dont need to anymore but yaa see the green thing thats the skin its post to be green not normal textures like that but there odd and werid just ineed help with that!

Those are definitely the low quality directx 8 portals. The green might be color correction messing up, not sure though.

Which part are you trying to fix? The green part, or the low quality portals?

Maybe you should try re-installing Portal. See if that works.
