Please. Each "world" is 3-6 maps. Overall BL3 has roughly the same if not less content then BL2.
Also Gearbox cut out content specifically to sell as "expansions" which is very noticable IMO. Overall Gearbox sh3t their bed with this one. The game has clear improvements and the gunplay is just more fun then the previous titles but the whole game is so smeared by their marketing decisions (online play only, no mods, hours of cutscenes and ingame dialogue etc) that its a massive DECREASE in quality over Borderlands 2
BL2 really isn't that much more comparatively with:
4 story dlc akin to BL3's initial 4 dlc
2 extra characters while BL3 got a new skill tree for each of the 4 characters
1 Digistruct Peak while BL3 got 2 of them
5 head hunter packs while BL3 got a 5th story dlc and 2 free event dlc similar to headhunter
Subjective opinion noted but I'm still going to say that the halloween event/map, cartel event/map, maliwan takedown, and guardian takedown are comparable the BL2 head hunters missions/maps and they have the bonus of being free.
Aside from your character bias, the BL3 skill trees were way more varied and in-depth than the BL2 ones. BL2 you had the capstone perks that modified the one skill you got where as BL3 each character had 3 different skills in addition to the capstones and we got a 4th new skill for each. BL3 characters we're also designed to be a part of the world instead of the silent "vault hunter" you played as in BL2 so yes they took the easier way out instead of designing a new character that needed needed a voice and personality to be added for all the dialogue designed for characters with personality. I suppose it is fair to say that did do that for the Pre-Sequel with Aurelia and Handsome Jack but that game was smaller scope and was riding off the success of BL2 although Aurelia was a very flat "I'm rich and better than you" character and Handsome Jack's personality was already well established.
Amaras 4th tree literally doesn't work with *any other skill tree because of bugs*.
Zane has 4 or 5 slots that are bugged and don't proc with others properly.
Flaks 4th tree ai is so bad it's unusable making the entire tree dead
Gauges I haven't tested as she's the only character I haven't maxed yet. But according to most websites it's also a mess.
Tbh I really wish we just got 2 or more new characters instead...
