We host parties every month or so, and tend to have two groups of people show up - my friends, who are mostly gamers, and my partner's, who mostly aren't. We have a pair of TVs set up in the lounge for mine to play on at these parties, and the rest tend to play Cards Against Humanity or socialise elsewhere in the house.

I was immediately impressed by how quickly both groups sat down in the lounge to give the Jackbox a go when I first bought it yesterday. We started with a round of Fibbage 2, which was loud, funny and silly enough for everyone to feel comfortable giving it a go without having to feel like they were joining the 'gamer' half of the crowd. Since you're controlling the games from your phone, nobody has to feel like they're out of their comfort zone with an Xbox controller or constantly waiting for a turn with a gamepad. Both the gamers and non-gamers in the group were able to play together, which is a really hard trick to pull off.

The games in the pack are varied enough to keep things interesting, and none of them are disappointing. I will say, though, that while the bomb disposal game is still pretty hilarious and engaging, it is a LOT harder than the others - the story mode is purely cooperative, and it can be a lot harder for less engaged players to feel like they're contributing. It also supports fewer players, which ended up cutting our playtime short in favour of the other titles.

I tried really hard to find a deal on this game before I picked it up, but I'm pretty happy with the $25 I paid for it in the end. We're going to be cracking it out again in the future, and it's a safe and reliable option for crowds who aren't necessarily full of gamer types.

The first pack was amazing, and this one doesn't dissapoint. In fact, it's better, as it's missing a really obvious "total dud" of a game like the first one had in the form of Word Spud. While the first pack was really only being carried by two of its games, every game in here is entertaining, and while some fare better than others, there's something to love for anyone here.

If you want an fantastic local multiplayer game, get this. It doesn't matter if your friends do not play that many games - it's an incredible, but accessible experience either way, and the more players you can get, the better.

The Jackbox Party Pack 2 is another great collection of partygams, Like the first it has a great narrator, They are both great and unique in their own way, A must have if you like party games.

Like the first game this game consists of 5 party games, Bidiots, Quiplash XL, Fibbage 2, Earwax and Bomb Corp. Like always some are awesome and some are a not really on par with the rest, I will write a small review about each one of them I will start with the better games, And slowly work to the rest.

Bidiots can be played with 3 - 6 players Where every player has to draw 2 paintings at the beginning of each round, The Title for the paintings is already set, But you get full creative freedom to draw something that fits the title. After the drawing it is time to sell the paintings, It works like a bidding war, But all players also get some hints 2 titles of paintings and their values. The sneaky thing is that many of the paintings have similair names, So it is easy to get fooled believing you are buying a 4000 dollar painting for 1200 when you find out it is only a 400 dollar painting with a similair title.

Everyone starts with a set amount of cash, But you can loan more against a interest. The drawer knows the title and the painting, The buyers only see the painting and 1 buyer know the value linked to a title. This sparks a funny situation where everyone gets suspicious and everyone thinks they struck gold even in the situations where it is not worth anything. I think Bidiots is the best game of the pack, The right answers are always fresh because it is all up to player input, This keeps the game great even after hundreds of games.

Fibbage 2 can be played with 2 - 8 Players, Each round starts with a category, the last player can pick it. Then there will be a sentence with a missing word or phrase, It is up to the players to complete the sentence. You can not make the sentence true, You have to think of something that sounds true. The truth will also be presented along with everyones answer. Everyone has to vote on what they think is the truth. If people vote on your "truth" you gain points. People earn points if they guess the actual truth.

The game is great, It is fun to let other people fall for your lies, But it is also hard to really pick the right answer. How gullible is everyone and how good are they at coming up with a likely truthful answer. There are 3 different versions of this game, There is Fibbage XL in JBPP1, a standalone Fibbage XL game. and this one Fibbage 2 is the ultimate version to the best of my knowledge, It has an exclusive option that allows you to split the answers once.

Quiplash XL can be played with 3 - 8 players Here ever round every player gets 2 questions where there are no right answers, Just funniest answers, Afterwards everyone gets presented the questions one by one with the given answers. Everyone is able to vote on the best answer, Best is ofcourse relative, Sometimes the choice can be hard, Sometimes there is a split in the room, It is funny to see what other people think is funny.

Quiplash XL also has a standalone game, Quiplash, It is a lesser version, Quiplash XL included all original DLC and added a bunch of new questions, So it is worth the upgrade if you enjoyed Quiplash, But don't buy Quiplash if you are planning to get this game.

Earwax can be played with 3 - 8 players, Each game a judge is chosen by random, The judge has to select a category and then the rest of the players will get sentence from that category and a bunch of random sound effects. The players have to pick the 2 most funny or fitting sounds in order as a response to that sentence. The judge decides who wins, The first player to 3 points will be the winner.

I think Earwax is one of the lesser games, You only get 6 sound effects, and it is hard to find something that fits just right, I also think the fun factor is a lot lower than in the first 3 games. Surely sounds can be funny especially as a response, But you have to be lucky to get some appropiate sounds, It is also less fun for the judge.

Bomb Corp can be played solo and up to 4 players. It is very much like Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes. Only now you have 3 people telling you what to do, The bombs are a lot less complicated, But it remains a challenge because of other people. I do think it is a great game, But it is not really fit for a party in my opinion, But it surely is a great game to play seriously with your friends.

Overal JBPP2 is a great collection of party games, And maybe even the best JBPP I still believe 1 and 2 are the best. If you like party games and you have friends or family to play with it is a no brainer and a must buy, If you never play couch games, I would skip this one. I have to give the game a solid 9.

***Warning*** This game requires friends and they make this experience 100x better. Its too late for me, I'm already too far into this life to put time and effort into making friends but its not too late for you. Go outside, make something of yourself. Don't get sucked into this endless void we call "entertainment".

But yeah all in all they got some good games.

Lots of fun, just like the first pack! More Fibbage is always great; Bidiots if an interesting drawing game which is oddly strategic; Earwax is a fun take on using sound effects instead of writing; Quiplash is a lot of fun and the extra questions are appreciated compared to the original; and Bomb Corp is really different (cooperative! what is this!?) but very funny and challenging. Not necessarily any better than the first pack, but it's great to have an even bigger diversity of games to play so I would recommend this just as much as I recommend the first pack. Especially fun during the holiday season!

I admit, I've held a few parties. I am not a very fun person, so usually these parties end up pretty sucky. Then I stumbled across Jackbox and fell in love with Quiplash and Fibbage. I decided to put the games to the test during a birthday party I held this past Feburary, and it went fantastically. I played the game with 7 other people, and the game functioned flawlessly. The game was hilarious, and I've gotten oh-so-many inside jokes out of some of the games we've played in the pack.
A few months later, I thought about hosting another party, and what came across my mind? Jackbox. I thought that I simply got lucky the first time and that the second experience would be repetitive. Alas, I was wrong, the party felt completely brand new, with exciting new prompts and new inside jokes. Overall, I think this pack takes the cake for the most fun party game you could play at a party.

Do you have a lot of friends that come over to your house? This is a perfect party game. Instead of an emphasis on gameplay skill or quick reflexes, these games are much more focused on wits, intelligence, and humor. It's perfect even for people who don't usually play video games. We all know that one time when we went over to a friend's house to play Mario Kart/ Super Smash Bros or something and he crushed all of us without even trying because he's the only one who owns the godamn game damnit. There's no such advantages available here, since the game is mainly trivia/ humor based.

Another great thing is you don't have to go fiddling around with any Xbox game controllers or anything like that. There is a cool browser based system where you just have to enter a code at jackbox.tv, using any browser. This means anyone with a smartphone can easily connect to the game they want to play as long as they have an internet connection. This is genius stuff, some of the games can have up to 8 players so instead of having to fiddle with a bunch of tangled wires/ teach everyone the controls, it is simple enough to set up and play. I've had good success using Valve's Steam Link paired with this game on a large TV with a group of people, it's always a good time!

The party pack comes with these 5 games below, although you'll probably only regularly play 2 or 3 of them.

Fibbage:
This game is played a lot I think, essentially some trivial question is given that nobody will likely know, it's pretty obscure stuff like "What did Abraham Lincoln get as a present from this random governor on Independence Day?" or something similar, players have to input a good lie they think may fool everyone else, and then everyone chooses from a compiled list of lies from players and one truth embedded within. You get points for both fooling others and picking out the truth. Always a goofy fun time!

Earwax:
Essentially Apples to Apples or Cards Against Humanity in audio form, everyone gets a prompt, and is given a list of random sounds to choose from. This can be pretty fun, like a prompt would say "Superman, while drunk." and you can respond with the sounds *Loud, Long Fart* followed with *Man Screaming*. However, the issue with this game is you don't get to hear the sound before you play it so sometimes the results are not what you expect.

Bidiots:
This one is complicated. Everyone is given a different subject to try and draw on their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ little smartphones, and there's a set price to each art piece, which is kept hidden from players. Everyone gets only a few hints as to how much each piece is worth, and they take turns bidding on each art piece at an auction. Whoever makes the most profit wins. This can be pretty fun but there's quite a bit of strategy involved. It'll probably take a couple of times before people understand completely how this game works, but it's one of the deeper experiences in here, there's a lot of strategies like "fake bidding" to raise the price of a piece you know isn't worth anything. Pretty fun but you need a group that's willing to learn a bit about the mechanics to get the most out of it.

Quiplash:
Pretty popular game, a prompt is given and people write what they think would be the funniest response to it. After this, people vote on what they think is the funniest/ most apt response. It's mostly humor based, from what I can tell. I actually found this game kinda boring, there wasn't enough structure to keep my interest for too long, but you might like it.

BombCorp:
Kind of a simpler Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, this game has you defusing bombs with a group of friends. You essentially shout out instructions on how to defuse a bomb and somebody tries to defuse it without it going off. This game only has 4 players maximum and is probably better suited for a smaller group of dedicated people. There is a psuedo-story mode and looks pretty fun, but I haven't played it much.

Jackbox Party Pack 2 is a fun selections of party games that will always be a hit with friends, unless your friends are big lame-os who hate fun.

The team at Jackbox Games is clearly listening to fan feedback!
The games included in the new Party Pack are now more "internet stream" friendly, which means friends all over can play more easily.
Fibbage is back and better than ever, with more questions, and a cool "Defibrilator" option, that lets you clear half the wrong answers once per Game session.

Bomb Corp is very tough, and will test your cooperation skills. Probably recommend this one to be done over Skype or Local friends.

Bidiots is probably my favorite of the bunch so far. It's really frustrating (in a good way) and clever.

During an Earwax game, one of my friends crashed and got replaced by an AI (essentially randomly picking noises). The AI ended up winning the game.

10/10 would get beaten by non-existent AI again

I previously ran this game in Wine because there was no official Linux version. Now, I can run it natively. Thank you so much for doing this for such a great game. I now respect your company a lot more and will continue to buy future packs with Linux versions.
