The game's OK in a very arcade-y kind of way, but it's pretty shallow. If you've played the first 3 levels you've played basically the whole game. Enemy AI is boring, and every level is basically just having 20 identical enemies follow you in a conga line as you pick them off one by one. The gun designs are somewhat interesting, but all do mostly the same thing, and the poor AI rarely demands any sort of creative combat.

There are a decent amount of bosses and mini-bosses that left me going "I have no idea if I'm hurting them or not because they're not reacting in any way." For some of them it turned out I was doing damage, and for others I would have never figured out the "secret," way to damage them without looking it up online due to lack of in-game feedback. The game also glitches a ton, forgetting to spawn bridges, bosses, etc. as well as crashes.

This game didn't make me miserable and I had a decent amount of fun with it (until "Battle Out Of Hell," that is), but it reminds me more of a fan-made Half Life mod more than a professionally developed game. So many games these days (and those days too) do it better, it's best to just skip this one.
