GOTHIC 2 WINDOWS 10 64 BIT

Hi all, has anyone actually got this damn game to work on windows 10 64 bit ? ..... if you have can you help as i can not get this to run at all, if i click the icon it just hangs :(

pc specs as follows

windows 10 64 bit
asus rampage v extreme mobo
intel i7-5960x 3ghz 8 core
32 gig ddr4 3000mhz
samsung 950 Pro 512 gig M.2
zotac gtx 980ti amp extreme

think thats all the hard ware you may need to know about

If you haven't figured out this issue yet - it's really simple.

You just gotta get the SystemPack and the latest Community Patch. Works like a charm on any version of Windows

You have to update many older games because many older games don´t get official updates.
At least it´s digital, better than CD ! Eventually you will get used to it.

Those are .exe files you download and you just have to choose your gothic directory and the language and install eveything in the order the thread tells you to:

"Installation guide, version 1.1 (Steam):

For "GOTHIC1: Classic":
1. Install "GOTHIC1: Classic".
2. Install Gothic Patch 1.08k
3. Install Gothic1_PlayerKit-1.08k.exe
4. Install G1Classic-SystemPack-1.1.exe

For "GOTHIC2: Gold Edition":
1. Install "GOTHIC2: Gold Edition"
2. Install Gothic2_fix-2.6.0.0-rev2.exe
3. Install Gothic2_PlayerKit-2.6f.exe

I just turn off steam overlay and game on my pc is working very well. I have w10 64bit. I turn of steam overlay by changing name of GameOverlayRenderer in steam files.
