I don't Understand with all of these Bad Reviews about this game. it seems kinda fine to me even tho I haven't played it yet. but still I don't get whats so bad about it?

I played this game a bit, took the disk from my friend. Really like it as a wargame adaptation and hate for obvious reasons. Is it any players in online nowadays? Because I heard it is fun enough to play with people (better then against AI). Just don't want to throw money for nothing....
