X4 not detecting tobii eyex, egosoft dev help please.
when I heard the X4 is now supporting tobii eye tracking. I bought the game. now I'm having problems with x4 not detecting my tobii eyex. I need egosoft dev. I'm wondering if x4 is only set to detect the 4c only and not both eyex and 4c. my eyex works fine in all my games that use tobii, but X4. tried it in both 2.60 and 3.0 and also used the -forcehmd commandline with no go. makes me sad. I would love the help.

just got back from tobii support. it seems the game is looking for the head tracking and cannot find it. so it's not enabling the tobii options in the game. it been forward to the tobii devs. they'll get back to me.

So far I found it X4 is trying to look for headpose in the tobii device. As of right now all gaze only devices do not work with X4. I asked if maybe egosoft could add a launch commandline for gaze only device. in hopes for the people that have the eyex and other gaze only tobii devices.

Hey! I have a tobii eye x that is not working with game, I can see the eye x options in the game control menu, switch to gaze mode but I get no tracking once the game starts and I'm in the ship. Are you still playing the game and using the eye x with it? can you confirm it's still working?

is there a key to enable the tracking mode? I've tried the VR Toggle to no effect...

I have not played for awhile. I opened a support ticket with egosoft explaining the problem with the eye x doesn't have the head tracking of the 4c. they fixed it and I confirmed it was working when they released the beta patch back in 2020.
