Where to buy FFXIV equipment, items e.t.c.
Hi. Sooner or kinda later i'd like to start playing these nicely world game servers for the first time as mentioned in DLC expansions (along with the origin), but i'd kinda not like the grind at all till you get better equipment and rolling up and down with the skills and gils. I'd be more willing to buy on a legit site. Are there likely any other kinda sites except the online store from ffxiv? Like the overgear or buy boost can those websites be trusted for buying?

No, either play the game properly or play something else.

Buying items and gil with real money is considered RMT and is not allowed by the terms of service.

This means that if you buy from unofficial places you're buying from people that spit on those rules, and may not always be the most trustworthy as a result- definitely never give them access your account!

If you want gil and still have sone to do, msq is not an awful source of gil, and at the higher levels gives you free gear anyway.

But why is it not even allowed to buy stuff? This sure does not sound right.

Apart from the obvious reasons. Because the game almost throws at you top gear from each expansion with an in game currency easy as hell to earn (Allagan Tomestones) and no amount of godly gil will save you any leveling time, leaving with the only option to pay for boosts in their store.

So you say it's "easier than you think for grinding on this game"?

Riiight. I've found the reason why they do not allow you to buy stuff. RMT can affect the game's economic stability and disrupt gameplay balance . Which means they do half job to even stabilize the game. wow.

The biggest grind is going through the main quest which is good but hundreds of hours of cutscenes and reading

Your best bet would probably be to just buy the expansion and job skip from the official store. With the expansion skip to start at Dawntrail, you get items that'll net you items to sell for 500k starting off and some items to trade for level specific equipment, on top of the tales of adventure job which'll net you level 90 accessories and items to sell for 500k as well. As of right now they are on sale (For both it'd be around 35$) and I don't think anyone would recommend buying anything off of 3rd party websites at the risk of your online security and account which would be way more than whatever you'd think you would save buying from them anyway.

Why buy the game if you don't want to play the game?

The main issue with RMT is that a lot of RMT services make mass use of bots to farm heaps of gil in surprisingly fast amounts of time- the more money these entities earn, the more bots they can run in tandem.

Imagine if a lot of money went into these services and they expanded accordingly- how is a normal player supposed to still afford anything on the market board? (or player to player services that I hear about such as in roleplay communities)
Before you know it, people are going to complain that the game is pay to win!

And there's not a *lot* you can do about this besides restricting the ways new players can earn money, hence why RMT is a banned practice and people can get banned over interacting with it.

Not to mention that, again, the RMT services that do exist do not guarantee anything- If you get banned or the bots suddenly die before you get your gil then you can wave your money goodbye.
Not like gil is important for gear progression anyway.

You are the problem with modern games. Play the game or don't.

They are also mostly hacked accounts.

There are plenty of vendors to buy gear from in-game. If you go the RMT route, you risk getting banned and losing all the progress you make. They do large sweeping bans of these things.

So just get the game, play normally, once you're at the level ranges of 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 farm the dungeons giving poetics and do the tales of adventure, and you'll get easy poetics that'll allow you to buy powerful gear for their respective eras/expansions. Don't use a 3rd party source as you can get in trouble.

Either play the game normally and farm the tomestones, or buy a skip on the official game store from Square themselves.
