Try out what ARR has to offer if you enjoy then I’d say just buy the expansion when you finish base game.
Be warned the game slows down a bit around MSQ 30-35 and again once you hit ARR's update content.
Honestly if you're enjoy ARR then you'll enjoy the rest, ARR is the weakest point in the over all story.
I've heard this from a few people now, but I'm not sure what that means. Does the MSQ no longer give good exp around that range? Do you need to supplement it with other stuff? Or is it that the MSQ quests become really difficult to complete as a solo player or the objectives become untenable in a single sitting (i.e. collect 10,000 wolf pelts)?
It's boring to put it bluntly, too many fetch quests all at once. There's a need for exp grinding from 46-49 if you've only been doing the MSQ as you'll be short.
refund it now! don't miss your opportunity do not play this game you'll regret it
That's some strange game design there.
It can still be an issue on the 2x exp servers if you only do the MSQ and don't have an exp ear ring. You'd be 48 and and a bit once starting the 49 MSQ.
