No mouse cursor.
Hi all.

I've owned and loved this game for many years.I am devastated that i cannot play it.

I recently downloaded it on my PC and the problem of the cursor not appearing in fullscreen arose. After...

Don't like windowed mode? you can buy a software on steam called Borderless gaming which allows you to turn games that are windowed into a *fake fullscreen mode* you
will be playing the game Fullscreen but it will still have it in a windowed mode, which in turn will still let you see your mouse cursor.

Borderless Gaming is only $3.99 on the steam store.

No Mouse Cursor
uuuh. I had the game working fine under Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit.
Then after running windows update, whatever patches were released in sept, I am not getting any keyboard or mouse input when loading up
the game. No cursor shows up, keyboard does nothing.

Anyone else experiencing something similar?...

Incidentally I was able to force the mouse cursor to appear in the main menu in fullscreen...

no mouse cursor appears
When i launch the game on windows 10 no mouse cursor appears at the title screen so i cannot move past it.

i have a 9700k
1650 super
16 gigs of ram

not sure why it is having so many issues...

Runs, but no mouse cursor.
The first time I ran this, the cursor showed up but the resolution was utter garbage. So I did what I did for Dungeon Seige and used the launch settings to set the resolution higher. Except it didn't
work at all and no the cursor isn't even registering on the title menu. I've deleted and re-installed it several times now to no avail. I've turned on combatibility along with disabling DPI scaling...

for me to run DS2 with mouse cursor and widescreen in latest windows 10 goto folder:
C:\Users\yourfolder\Documents\My Games\Dungeon Siege 2 use notepad and paste in these settings:

Windows 10/11 Resolution/Mouse Cursor Fix
minimize/maximize it again until you see the cursor and can exit normally.

That's it. Enjoy the game....
You don't need most of those, all you have to do is replace the executable or use wineD3D.

Mouse Cursor not showing up
The mouse cursor wont show up so i cant even start the game from the main menu, ive tried the track pad of my laptop as well as a mouse...

Missing mouse cursor fix (not a workaround)
fix on the DS2 executable. It should fix the missing cursor when playing fullscreen. You can get the fixed executable here:
