Killah, I actually followed your guide to get broken world in the first place! Great guide but sadly this problem occured, and I've followed your writings exactly. So something else seem to be amiss.
Just thought I'd update since some people replied having the same problem, I didn't find a solution. For this reason I have not yet started playing, since I want to play with the expansion. If anyone comes up with a solution, I'm still very much interested.
An option is to use DOSbox in case you want to run in older machine. Not really sure if work, because some people experienced FPS problems with good PCs at same date as the launch of expansion.
I would like to solve that problem too, tried many ways.
1) Change settings ingame;
2) Change settings in DSvideoconfig;
3) Tried to modify .ini file with LOA parameters (described in BW Killah guide), with Vanilla DS2 parameters;
4) Tried differente launch parameters;
5) Delete system_detail.gas;
6) Added my graphics card in system_detail.gas
7) Disable sound Max (was already disabled)
8) Run in compatibility mode (tried all modes);
9) Choose core affinity;
10) Reinstalled the game;
11) Set app priority ingame;
Still not tried:
1) Use DOSbox.
Tried with:
i7 3930K / GTX 1080
E5700 / GMA 4500
P.S.: In DSvideoconfig there was no option without "TnL".
I have the same fps problem, and no options without "tnl" as well. Capped at 120, maintains framerate in menus. Drops down to about 20-28 in game. Turning shadows off gave me about 5fps more than normal. Really no difference between integrated and card.
I dont believe it even really recognizes my card anyway though.
i7-5820k @ 3.3 / 16gb ram / gtx980 / w8.1?
It's playable.... I had the same problem with dungeon siege 1 and went through it, but yeah, would be nice to have it running smoothly!!!!
Installing on an older / less powerful computer definately seems like the route to go lol. Watched it all operate on a gaming rig from 2008 just fine. I am regretting getting rid of my old windows xp rigs lol.
