If anyone wants my mods...
There's a mod that I made along time ago that can still be used with DS1. Since I rebought the game from the sale I'll be using them and thought I would post them if anyone wants them, or would like to play in Networking in my games.

V Mod Description from Readme in File
- Selected mobs drop set items.
- Selected mobs drop fixed items.
- Selected mobs drop new special items, like unique spell books.
- Some mobs are made smarter and more powerful (elite skill).
- Monster Scaling has been modified - Easy: Your damage modifier is 200%, while enemy's damage modifier is 25%. | Normal: Your damage modifier is 100%, while enemy's damage modifier is 50%. | Hard: Your damage modifier is 80%, while enemy's damage modifier is 150%.
- Changes your max gold to 999,999,999 instead of 9,999,999.
- Limited to this amount to allow no chance of overflow into negatives.
- All shops that sell magical books now also have a chance to sell rare books, as well as
rings and amulets.
- All smiths sell lower end rare items randomly.
- 100% compatible with any previous version items.
- New class specific set items carried by specific monster types rarely.
- New mage oriented gloves/boots
- New Polearm, Spear, and Blunt type weapons oriented towards melee.
- New "fixed" items, which have a pre-set modifier amount and name.
- Some items were upgraded ice sword and set to dropable.
- New graphics and fx for many of our new items.

could you tell me a little more about thos mods i went to the webpage didnt say much ?

Hah! I remember you! I wrote Vorpal Mule and Monty Haul mods... there is a small but permanent collection of DS1 and DS2 mods on Nexus, could you please upload your mods there so they are more accessible?

I tried using this while playing a new game of legends of aranna the other day. Everything, both enemies and my character, had very low hit rates and damage dealt was in the 1-2 range. I looked at the mod file and you changed the formulas for base armor and attack. I'm assuming you did it to compensate for your new itemization. Unfortunately, this makes it really tedious to play new games while using your mod.
To be honest when I made the mod it was never ment to be played on legends of aranna. I made the mod long before it was even released.

The mod is also not ment to be played alone either, it's recommended to play in a party while playing the mp map utraean peninsula. The reason I stated for people to make new characters was so the scaling was balanced evenly between levels, there is also gear for all classes now.
Problem is Krug Apprentice is one hit kill with zap/fireshot once the v mod is installed, even with full hp, we have lvl 85+ on elite utrean penninsula.

The 1% per distance fighting to damage of ranged weapons is kinda op while meele weapons do less damage now, should be changed.

do you still have the solo files of your v mod so i can pick what i want to use and what not?

I make sure that all of my mods are gas locked to prevent tampering as for my game files they're on a CD in storage.

I did change the monster difficulty scaling, HP and EXP under the local settings of the game but there wan't much of a change.

Mine
Easy: Your damage modifier is 200%, while enemy's damage modifier is 25%.

Normal: Your damage modifier is 100%, while enemy's damage modifier is 50%.

Hard: Your damage modifier is 80%, while enemy's damage modifier is 150%.

Default
Easy: Your damage modifier is 135%, while enemy's damage modifier is 50%.

Normal: Your damage modifier is 100%, while enemy's damage modifier is 75%.

Hard: Your damage modifier is 85%, while enemy's damage modifier is 145%.

it's just that fireshot and zap insta kill on elite which is a bit op, the furys fast reaction attack also is.
I can't fix anything right now like I said my files are in storage, I would basically have to start over and rewrite the entire mod. The mod itself is old and outdated yes for right now try adjusting the difficulty settings under options then give it a go from there.

I am pretty sure...but can't remember I think most people stuck there game on easy while playing DS because even without the mods on your game you have to start using hit-in-run tactics in the higher levels.

I know but am not 100% I may have modiffied the host difficulty for MP servers:

Regular with a minimum character level of 1
Veteran with a minimum character level of 80 (defalut is 54)
Elite with a minimum character level of 100 (default is 83)
