How can we link the Mystery Man sprite to Gaster?
This is a very interesting question indeed, but I'll solve that mystery here.

I'd like to explain how this ''spr_mystery_man'' is Gaster. Let's peice it together. In the three rooms with the elevator you can edit the fun code to find that everybody is missing in the Hotlands except three figures that explain Gaster's past. These are only avaiable when the FUN code is edited, what other rooms require the same thing? The Myster Man room. This may sound far fetched, but just stick with me. W.D. Gaster is his full name, W.D. could reference to ''Wing Dings'' also known as a typing tool for people who speak Hand-Language. Another room can be found only by editing the FUN code to find a strange text that is written in Wing Dings, and note that this room is only open when you edit the fun code. This could explain how this sprite is Gaster. No need to explain he's the royal scientist, the three followers tell you. So if anyone ever tells you ''How do you know that that's him?'' you can tell them this.

Thoughts?

You never explained how the sprite is connected to the Wing Dings room, so there's still barely any evidence.

So does many other rooms. That doesn't prove anything.

(This is a stretch) The number you have to put the fun code in is a range from 60 to 66/67

I still don't see the connection. Unless Gaster's theme played in the sprite room, i'm not convinced.

You know what sprite is more likely to be Gaster? The sprite in the [REDACTED] room. He even speaks in Wing Dings.

I did more research about the [REDACTED] room. It's 272, and after leaving the room you'll be brought to the infamous sound test room, which contains Gaster's theme.

We know that Dr WD Gaster speaks in wingdings, there is no doubt about it. Further support of this comes from Entry Number 17, which is written in WingDings.

The next logical step to find out what Gasters sprite is, is to find out who speaks in WingDings.
There is only one sprite in the game that speaks in WingDings, and that is [REDACTED].

There is so much evidence supporting [REDACTED] being Gaster, it's insane. He speaks in WingDings, and the sound effects for the text is the same as Entry Number 17.

People often counter this by saying that mystery_man is found by editing the fun value, and also plays the disappearing sound that a Gaster Follower plays. I think this makes mystery_man seem more like a Gaster Follower then WD Gaster to me.

I mean think about it, mystery_man shares 2 definite similarities with Gaster Followers.
And [REDACTED] shares a lot of similarities to the information we know about WD Gaster.

I will keep believing that [REDACTED] is WD Gaster until proven otherwise.
