cannot spare sans in pacifist run

hello im triyng to finish my pacfist run its not lettin me spare sans though everytim i try it just rejects me or if i try to fight thn he just kills me if a try to spare is there a fix for this i dont want to lose my progrss

sans shouldn't fight you during the pacifist or neutral runs. only genocide.

Sans will fight you both in your Neutral Route and the True Genocide route, the only way not to fight him is in the True Pacifist Route, which I recommend you look through on what to do.

Sans only fights you in Genocide. The only way to avoid a full genocide run after defeating him is to manually reset.
