"The triangles symbolize the monsters below and winged circle above symbolizes perhaps the angel from the prophacy. The prophacy is the legend has it, an 'angel who has seen the surface will descend from above and bring them freedom. loss of hope has them calling the winged circle the "Angel of Death" and refering to it as well as a harbinger of destruction witin to 'free' them from the mortal realm"
In which I believe that the monsters instead of refering to the prophacy as an angel as begun refering to it as the angel of death in the mean that they have given up the hope of it saving them and instead killing them as a way of freeing them from the mortal realm?
But deltarune is just an AU (alternate universe) and the only suspected monsters that might be the same in both games are Sans and Gaster (sans talks at one point in his fight about giving up to go back and he's not talking about the surface because the next dialogue with him is "and going to the surface doesn't appeal to me either" so basically he's probably in both deltarune and undertale. And there's a lot more proof about it. About gaster... deltarune is thought of being the world gaster has been sent to)
There are two actual references to Deltarune associated with a fun value where you meet a clam girl in Waterfall. She talks about a character named Suzy. The same fun value also changes the picture in Sans's secret workshop to a drawing with three people with the words "Don't Forget" written on it.
Fandom: Hey, look at this totally legit connection/reference i found!
