USING LUNATIC PANDORA MOD NEED HELP
Hi everyone!

So I downloaded the Lunatic Pandora Mod, however, my root FF8 folder is located in a F: Drive (my external hard drive)

I downloaded the mods pack folder and installed it into the FF8 folder, the address I used goes as such: F:\Steam\steamapps\common\FINAL FANTASY VIII

In this section all the mods and their respective folders can be found. When I start FF8 you can see the new start menu, and in game I can see graphical mods are in place.

BUT.....When I start up the game using the FF8_Ultra_Launcher.exe this is what it reads:
__________________________________________________________________
FF8_Launcher.EXE opened successfully.
Attempting to load by Process Name (FF8_EN.EXE)...
Still Waiting... Click "PLAY!"
Succeeded in loading by Process Name.

Delayed for 2000ms...

So being this my first time using the mod (especially since it's not on the C: Drive), I would like to know if this is normal, and if not how can I fix it so there are no error messages.

I did not download the music mods and I have not installed GeDoSaTo. (In fact I may have it downloaded??? I got the bundle pack that you can donate for so I am unsure if it was included or not?)

I decided to stop dead in my tracks before moving any further and ask for help on the matter before possibly making matters worse, again, the mods seems to be working, but I want to ensure I have not made a mistake somewhere.

I modded FF7 in a past play through and realized some minor little inputs I left out completely ruined my game that I didn't notice until about 12 hours in, not trying to have a repeat of that.

Anyway, if anyone is skilled at this sort of thing I would appreciate the help, I am new to modding my games so I try my best to reach out to more skilled individuals who can teach me how to correctly use the software.

Thanks everyone!!! :)

This is in no way a game-ending glitch, but you won't get the better world UVs unless you do the following: Go to the troubleshooting section of the MCINDUS Steam Guide (my guide), you will find a new 1_FF8_UvInject_EN.txt file that you will need to replace the old one with. Please, make sure you delete the old one after you install the new one. (Everything you need to mess with is located in the new FINAL FANTASY VIII/HL_Files/Hext_in/ folder).
Also, while you're there, grab the new tripod hashmap so you get less triple triad background glitches.
Let me know if that worked!

Hey I know this is an old post but I've been having a bit of trouble with the Lunatic Pandora mod pack and this is literally the only thing I've found with "answers" the issue is.. I installed the 1_FF8_UvInject_EN.txt file and replaced it. But I still get the issue. So I also installed the setting.ini file and yet I still get the issue! Nothing seems to work. Not only that but none of the mods seem active, or are noticable in my game. Does Lunatic Pandora even still work?

This was buried in the comments so I didn't see it until just now, but yes LP works just fine still. Do you happen to have another FINAL FANTASY VIII folder inside of your main parent FINAL FANTASY VIII folder? Sometimes the installer will create a duplicate instead of dropping the files in the parent location.
If you still have issues, check my discord and I can help you out live - the link is on my main twitch.tv/mcindusmods/ page

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=391096600 - check the Current Bugs section. You need to replace one txt file, after that you should be golden.

So just FYI in case anyone else finds this page searching for the "(FF8_UVInject_EN.txt): Could not write to memory" issue, it turned out that I was able to fix it by changing the folder name from "hext_in" to "hext". I noticed McIndus wrote "hext" in his troubleshooting section. Since I did that, (I copied and kept the "hext_in" version just in case) I don't get the error message anymore.
