Cid Hyper Jump Crash Bug
If you use Cid's level 2 limit break "Hyper Jump" on an enemy that is immune to instant death, the game crashes. Anyone know if this works with all instant death abilities? I don't have death leveled yet to test it out.

Straight hour through Gaea Cliff wasted because of this. Made sure to check before I restarted lol. Have to level that one up near a save point on a non immune enemy I suppose.

For those finding this topic in 2017: As of this writing (February 9, 2017), this is STILL an issue; it has not been fixed. It would be amazing if they'd just fix it.

yep, this was the only crash i got i throughout the playthrough.

it doesn't apply to flash, added effect + death, or enemy skills... it's just cid with hyper jump.

I just realized nobody anwsered OP question. The answer is no. It is bug related to Hyper Jump itself. Casting Death on Death immunity enemy won't crash the game. Beta can crash the game too btw but it is fire abblity.

The bug is actually the result of a texture overflow. The buffer for the texture has no size limit and for some reasons this is bad (I guess because the game doesn't purge the buffer). You can also get a crash if you change between many fields. I guess that mods which add and/or improve textures will also have a negative effect on that.
