Does this matter? Can't you just answer the question without being holier-than-thou?

who is hollier then thou you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ? most people ask for hdr but they dont even have the hardware to make use of it, and in my honest opinion seeing first hand but not owning such system i dont see the big deal on pc, this is more for consoles crowd that never had antialising in their lifes

HDR monitors dont exist yet they will be released in 2017 . For now it is only on tv. But the first graphics cards that supported were gtx 9xx(like my 970 g1 gaming) back in 2014. Strange that first cards with HDR support came 2 years ago but still we dont have monitors that support it(am on 24'' 1440p 60 hz ips monitor dellp2416d).

Good question... There isn't HDR support for now. I have all the necessary for this (GTX 1080, TV LG 55UH850V 4K HDR, etc...) and i'm very interested too.

Ya I love the game and have been playing it in 4k on my tv it would be interesting how it would look with HDR.

any news on HDR ?

NVIDIA was suppose to do HDR gamestreaming as well, but It's not there yet it seems.

You CAN do HDR with a computer. Now.

Those of us with an HDR TV can FORCE enable HDR mode by running the "run_hdr.bat" file in the HDR SDK
https://developer.nvidia.com/high-dynamic-range-display-development

This only enables the display to enter HDR MODE.
This by itself is useless for the game, as it will not adjust the game for HDR color space and EOTF.

If you are REALLY wanting to use "HDR" you can make use of the tools I linked to above and make your own "HDR Profile" (read: HDR grading of an SDR-only signal) and enable it.

All the game needs to do is just copy over the colorspace and EOTF coordinates, and include the relevant portion of the SDK to enable "run_hdr.bat" and done.

An excuse being "no HDR monitors, thus pointless" is a poor reason. We should have feature pairity with console versions, and not include/exclude features for one or the other.

Exactly. One thing I love is when developers/publishers let local co-op remain in the PC version of a game. I get a lot of crap as to how useless this feature is on PC, but I game on a 65' curved 4k, and love playing Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed with my son in split screen, Lego games as well.

The tech used in TVs utilizes extreme local dimming, that really isn't possible on screens smaller then 40 inches as of 2016 due to the size of the back lights and partitions. 10 bit monitors have been around for awhile though and will process HDR 10, Mostly targeted for industrial and corporate purposes for printing, media editing, high budget films, etc. They just don't have the contrast needed for official HDR stamp. I'm personally hoping for cheaper HDR monitors that are 1440p next year, 4k is wasted below 32"

"this is more for console crowd that never had any anti aliasing in their lives" What does HDR have to do with aliasing? Are you aware that many console games use very effective methods of anti aliasing? (MSAA, TSSAA, HRAA, MLAA, SSAA, TAA)

I swear the amount of ignorance here is astonishing.

Not trying to be a D, but I don't take advice from anyone who has a 0 on their Steam profile and has the profile set as 'private'.
