Hows it going with this game? Looks pretty abandoned?

I'm having a difficult time purchasing weapons in survival mode, I'm using a xbox1 controller. I pull up the menu by clicking the right joystick, I hit 'B' as this is set to my interaction key, but then it closes the menu. I've tried remapping to other buttons, but nothing happens. The only way it works is to press the auto purchase key and buys the most expensive weapon. Is this how it should work with the auto purchase or is there suppose to be freedom in purchasing? not like it matters since I rac...
