Female character is planned, but first I need to fine-tune a few more things.

When we add a female character. This will allow you to change gender in your current character (you will not need to start all over again).

Any update or eta on this? ;)
Playing boy characters is unsettling.

If all goes according to plan, by the end of the year (but please do not take this as serious deadline).

Just stumbled across this thread (sorry to resurrect). Have female playable characters been released yet, or is there an update on the eta for them? TIA

A female character currently not yet in the game - not yet have a higher priority bugs and flaws.

I am glad I looked down some of the posts to see this, otherwise I would have started a topic about this very thing.

I'll keep an eye on the game. It looks interesting, but the lack of a female character, and ranged weapons kind of put me up on the fence too much.

Still plan on keeping an eye on it though!

As a female gamer, I have to tell you that I think you are making a mistake by not giving a high priority to adding the choice to have a female character. I won't play as a male, it just doesn't work. I really want to buy this game but won't until I can play as female. There are many of us female gamers out there, and you are losing money by not having the ability to play as female. This is the kind of game that attracts many women. Many of us prefer this kind of game to more violent games. You are ignoring a large potential audience for this game.

We are aware of this requirement, and we really do not ignore it.
But unfortunately we must first solve the fundamental problems in the controller of character that is bound to animation and other features motion and adding female characters would cleave us problems.

Therefore, a female figure has not yet been added to the game (even if she is ready - models, animations, textures etc.).

So as long as there is a female character you don't care if the game is broken.

Man what is happening to the game community

I agree with a higher priority for business sake if you can...however..

Yup I do prefer this kind of game and I can wait. Not sure why a lack of pixel boobs and long hair would stop anyone from playing.

For some, it's immersion. Which I understand. The problem is they want immersion instead of a game with no bugs.

Some people need to learn how to be patient.
