Honest question (not criticism)
Ok from the trailer I havnt identified anything thats not already better in Ark. Can anyone tell me what this game has got that Ark hasn't or why its going to be a unique gaming experience. I love sandbox mmo games but I dont want to keep playing the same game again and again. What has this game got that sets it apart? Thanks

One of the aspects of the game that I enjoy is the generational thinking involved. Your first generation explores, survives, gains skills and knowledge which is then in turn passed on to the next generation and so on. There is more but it's late.

To be fair nothing in ark minus dinosours is unique in the slightest. I mean you know that minus dino taming and riding its exactly the same as every other game in the genre? Right? I mean build and craft system in surival plus eat and drink been around since what 1990s in Survial genre, I mean even its build system is almost copy pasted with every other game made before it.

Big thing that makes this way diffrent is the micro, in Ark its all about the dionos, in this there is like 4 steps to making eveyrthing, in Ark its all arcade like in comparsion. In this I got craft my own thread, balls of twine, make my own tools and what not, all to just make things in my inventory. Ark I just need x, and y, and in my bag and craft anything no tools needed, and some things need a work bench sure, but there is no, you must have a hammer here to make it messages.

Ark is the arcardiest version of survial out there next to Rust, Rust is number one for arcade style survial, but Ark has a level grind but in the grand scheme is worthless minsu stat increases as you hunt for much better blueprints from drops so in a week or less if your active your engrams become just space fillers till you and your group if you play that way can do enough drop hoping on a flyer or whatever at night to not need to make the primitive versions anymore.

But big thing here is the crafting minus The Repopulation which I would stand clear of till they sort out stuff as original owners went bankrupt and sold it after a huge legal dispute over the MMO survers that killed the first dev team, you not getting a crafting system like this. My problem with it is it feels kind of easy mode on the survial bit, but its been a while since I played it, compared to fighting off raptors, and dilos at level 4 in ark its kind of tame, but it means you got more time to focus on crafting in this game.

A bit yes. Some of the crafting, like cooking in Wurm is far less evolved in Novus. I do prefer the farming in Wurm to Novus and the ability to tame and breed animals, however the graphics are far beyond what I believe Wurm will ever accomplish. Wurm is what, six years old now? I do enjoy the mods and maps in Wurm, however the two reasons I left were one; I am a graphics ♥♥♥♥♥ and two; I enjoy playing alone and felt I could not commit as much time as was required to achieve what I desired from the game without help. One of the same reasons that drove me from LiFYO

this game and boundless are two im enjoying (slightly well largely different but the same sort of idea) i think animal taming could be done later on, but looking at the roadmap the plan looks solid, the game is competing with a lot of otheers out there, but the points of difference are enough to make it enjoyable
