How's development going?

As a millennial, I can't help but feel like this game is attacking me and the future inevitable conservative shift my mind will take. I am the old man, he is me. I will fight the system and its ideals as they slowly progress out of my reach.

The old man wakes up inside a dark pod filled with a black liquid and realizes he was inside a controlled simulation / dying dream. There's no democratic socialist "utopia". The actual setting is that of that other famous Molleindustria game: Oiligarchy. The year is 2100; peak oil has come and gone and the big oil company finally unlocked the tech to build the human-to-oil conversion buildings. The old man is getting the 10 euthanasias he asked for by getting his body turned into petroleum....
