Some stuff can go directly to the main branch but anything that could potentially disrupt play needs to go through the test branch first (particularly testing networking, etc).
Glad to see you in the game earlier! :)
We put that server up on the back of your post to double check everything was working.
This is the kind of thing we want to test on the External Beta version of the game - to catch these kinds of problems!
The thing about listen servers is that you have to open the correct ports on your router (and/or firewall) to allow steam and the game to see your server. By default these are TCP/UDP 7776 through to 7778 and UDP 443.
Once you've opened the ports and ran the game in Steam you can check that this is working by checking the Steam Server Browser for Remasted games (in the Steam Client menu 'View->Servers'), change the filters and pick 'The Ship: Remasted' from the game list.
If you see your game on the list then you are good to go. If you don't - close the game and keep tweaking until you see your game in the list.
Take it easy,
Jas
Will this be fixed in the future? Because I have friends who know nothing about opening ports.
