[BUG] Homestead support papers in use suddenly gone and all plots unclaimed except the base 16
Logged in tonight to find my partner's homestead claim reduced from ~60 to the base 16, benches and resources on unclaimed land and the store not working as a result. The 45 or so homestead support papers poofed from his claim stake and a /chron at the stake showed no strange activity.

Can anyone reply if this is a known issue, what a workaround might be and/or if settlement actions can affect the claim papers obtained from them? I don't know where to start to resolve this and it is a public server so I'm very concerned about securing resources on a large claim. Thanks for any help.

Probaly mechanic working as intended -- did the town where you got those support papers from shrink in active population, or did your homestead get incorporated into its sphere of influence?

Settlement didn't shrink but country did extend far enough to include us. While this seems a possibility, it didn't affect my claim at all, which was directly next to the one affected. So far, there's no apparent reason for the loss of all the claim papers that were purchased on just this one claim.

What type of papers were used? Homestead support papers for example cannot be used in a homestead that is part of any settlement.

Thanks for the reply, Dennis. But that makes no sense. They were homestead support papers, yes. But I also have homestead support papers in my homestead adjacent to his without any issues. I logged in the day before and everything was fine. In the 36 hours or so after that, the influence from the country did reach our claims but mine was unaffected by it, his was decimated. Existing homestead support papers are not affected by country influence, or at least are not in every other case.

Well, without a reproduction case I cannot really say what happened - the homestead support papers should indeed only be removed when you actually join the country (and you get a warning about that then, in case of annexation it's different but they need to give you country papers for it).

What also could have happened is that the town you got the homestead support papers from shrinked or dissolved, in either case it maybe was no longer able to support the amount of papers, but you'd get a warning then as well.
