Head Lock option as Default
I just installed Virtual Desktop and haven't had too much time to explore all it's features yet but I was wondering if I can set Virtual Desktop to launch in Head Lock mode as a default?

I know why we wouldn't want it to save this setting automatically, but can we force it to launch that way with a script?

I'm using it on a simulator and I want to write a script to automatically launch Virtual Desktop, my tracking software and then my sim. I'm doing this to prevent the students from going in and changing the settings.

Thanks

I can add a command-line option into the next version.

Awesome, I think this feature would allow the integration of Virtual Desktop as part of other solutions...

You wouldn't happen to have a rough idea when the next release will be? LOL

I'll just have the HeadLock setting saved, that will be easier. I'll push an update into the beta branch later today. You know how to access the beta branch of Virtual Desktop through Steam?

Thank you very much for pushing that through.

WRT the beta branch, I'll be honest and say I have no clue how to access it. LOL

Will I have to uninstall my current version first or can I just install in the same location and overwrite the existing one?

Just a thought, I think other users may want a hotkey/shortcut key to trigger HeadLock on/off... Might help to over ride it if it was set by mistake...

Right-click Virtual Desktop in Steam, then click Properties. Select the Betas tab and from the drops-down, select the beta branch. That’s it.

Thanks for the suggestion, I’ll add a binding for it. Should have the new version in the beta branch later today.

I'm not sure if I'm missing something or what but when I select the beta branch what's supposed to happen? Where will I find the installer for the beta version once it's ready?

It should download and update automatically in Steam. Make sure to restart Steam. The update has been pushed. You should see Virtual Desktop [beta] in your list on the left.

I see, I'll let you know once I'm at work (in about 7 hours)...

Thank you very much for doing this.
