Still can't play survivor properly after 6 months
I have been having an issue when trying to play survivor for over 6 months now.

After I start the game, I can join one survivor lobby and play one single match. When this match is over and I try to play another game as survivor, I always get stuck in an infinite loading screen when trying to join another lobby. Then I have to force quit this game and start it again.
(Yes, I could play only killer but you know about the waiting times and playing only killer is slowly getting really boring.)

On rare occasions the game tells me to change my NAT type.
The problem is, that you can't change NAT types on my router (w724v by the german internet provider Telekom). You can only enable ports. I have added every steam port and every port related to DBD that I could find. I have also checked my firewall, which isn't blocking DBD.
Yet I'm still having this issue.

Can anyone help me out?
(I'm a loser at technology and english isn't my first language. I hope you guys understand.)

I have made several posts regarding this issue (to which a lot of people have responded, who are having the exact same issue) and yet the Devs are doing literally nothing to fix this.
I always tried to protect the Devs but this game has been literally unplayable for me for over 6 months and I'm tired of it.

It could be a few things. I do get the NAT error, but it is DBD error, either on the hosts side or somewhere in the middle, and not my own.

NAT is basically your routers firewall, and it won't be an issue, you don't have to open ports at all, not in this day and age.

If a program connects out, it can get inbound data through that connection, that's why you can still connect to the net.

You're better off removing those open port rules you've added for safety.

Have you verified game files? or tried reinstalling the game?

The crashing is usually just buggy DBD, but it shouldn't happen that often..

Try turning down your graphics settings if possible, and see if still crashes as often.

Thanks for your response.
I have verified my game files and tried reinstalling. Also my graphic settings are as low as possible because my PC is a little potato.
I find it very weird that this happens every time that I try to play survivor more than once in a row.
I have contacted the Devs now. I'll see what happens.

Same problem.
It's funny how I have messaged the Devs, saying that I can't change my NAT Type and the first thing they have asked in response is "have you tried to change your NAT Type?"...

I guess it's someone else hosting since I'm trying to join lobbies. But I honestly don't really have a clue.

well in SWF whoever starts the group is kinda like the host, and everyone will join the server that's closest to said host, well sort of... no guarantees with DBD.

But a US host would more likely get you US killers, a UK host would more likely get you more European killers.
go to windows search bar and find command promt (search for cmd) then type ipconfig / dnsflush and hit enter

And do you own a console at all? xBox 360, PS4 or similar?

Sorry for bothering you, but what does that do?

I have a PS3, but I don't use it for online gaming and I play DBD only on my PC.

Well the PS3 can test your NAT basically, so we can test if your router/internet is the issue or whether it's something on your PC.

You just plug it up and goto the connection settings and tell us the results:

Basically a DNS cache, however bad results can be stored, thus preventing some hosts from working properly, but i doubt it will help, you can try it though.
