NAT is basically your routers firewall, and it won't be an issue, you don't have to open ports at all, not in this day and age.
If a program connects out, it can get inbound data through that connection, that's why you can still connect to the net.
You're better off removing those open port rules you've added for safety.
Have you verified game files? or tried reinstalling the game?
The crashing is usually just buggy DBD, but it shouldn't happen that often..
Try turning down your graphics settings if possible, and see if still crashes as often.
I have verified my game files and tried reinstalling. Also my graphic settings are as low as possible because my PC is a little potato.
I find it very weird that this happens every time that I try to play survivor more than once in a row.
I have contacted the Devs now. I'll see what happens.
Did you trying turning the resolution down aswell?
Can you play Killer consistently? as in game after game without crashing?
It's funny how I have messaged the Devs, saying that I can't change my NAT Type and the first thing they have asked in response is "have you tried to change your NAT Type?"...
is that with you hosting or someone else, or both?
well in SWF whoever starts the group is kinda like the host, and everyone will join the server that's closest to said host, well sort of... no guarantees with DBD.
But a US host would more likely get you US killers, a UK host would more likely get you more European killers.
And do you own a console at all? xBox 360, PS4 or similar?
Well the PS3 can test your NAT basically, so we can test if your router/internet is the issue or whether it's something on your PC.
You just plug it up and goto the connection settings and tell us the results:
https://manuals.playstation.net/document/en/ps3/current/settings/connecttest.html
Basically a DNS cache, however bad results can be stored, thus preventing some hosts from working properly, but i doubt it will help, you can try it though.
