This is what the rule said.

So as you can see "Who ever finds the hatch first at the beginning of the hatch stand off, gets the point."

Marth got there (at the hatch) after having put the second-last survivor on the hook before opponent survivor. He assumed that by the rule he had won the standoff and hitted the survivor who jumped in.

After the game that we assumed we had won Marth was contacted by the Space Esports Administration who told him that the rule was modified (on the fly as you can see on their main website still hasn't even changed lol)

So... after some discussion the administration Demon and Tello basically told us that it was rematch or nothing even if technically by the rules (their own rules) we had already won.

It is what it is... but one simple suggestion.

Bhvr never trust Space ESports again with anything.

You can't have an official tournament change the rules after match. Thanks.

I've seen the clip Marth had more than enough time from seeing claud to get off an attack, take the attack cd animation then scoop her up before that hatch opened. He didn't he didn't remove all doubt that he won. Sorry man 50/50 torn and in a hilariously god awful set up that they had? You reap what you sow.

im watching it right now , 2 hours into it and this whole tournament is so pathethic its cringy. That moderator is so extremly unexperienced he delivers wrong reasonings for behaviour of the players over a dozen times.. in the first 2 hours already.

I can't wait to see the final scene where they change the rule on the fly.

The rules were bent more than once during the tournament, not just during the finals.

That hatch rule was not explained well enough, if they changed it fully at the end (first found, open/closed) - whole tournament is invalid (but we don't make the rules).

What can i say, tough luck guys :P

He wasn't on top. No everyone even the administration Tello and Demon agreed that Marth arrived first sorry. Infact the only way they could deny our victory was by changing the rule and telling us "Rematch or nothing".

Maybe not on it, but close enough that the standoff would of went into effect pretty much immedietly

Being at hatch standoff range so on top of it. M1 interaction distance (or killer grab distance).

That is an hatch standoff.

They were like 2 meters away from the hatch, they obviously "found it first".
