Never had luck with Pike there, but will be returning at some point to finish catching all possible species. Let me know if you get one!

I was never able to catch the Trophy Blackfish in Alaska...spent a month there trying.
Seems like Germany should be the best map for pike. Supposedly they typically grow larger in Europe than they do here in America, and I'm pretty sure Germany is where the world record comes from.
I'm not there yet but I find it's usually easy to youtube (Fishing planet/lake/fish) for a good guide.

If you just put in (fishing planet) you get a lot of random hits

I enjoy the hunt. I haven't been there yet, but I'm looking forward to checking it out. I've heard it's huge. Plus, I have a boat with a fishfinder if things get desperate.

YouTube definitely comes in handy, but you'll learn more about the game if you try to find them yourself first.

There is just 1 film at youtube for common pike only.

I used my bass boat scan the whole lake already, and i think the fish finder is just a joke. Perhaps fishing planet should give me a user manual about the fishfinder.

Actually some players caught the unique at german lake, it is 20 lbs. However i cant get a contact to those players for further information.

It IS huge...lots of fun fighting big carp there that you can snag with regular float and bottom rods.

BUT, a big part of the lake is cut off from boats, which kinda annoys me. I wish they would open up the entire waterway.

Cut off from boats? Like Michigan?

Well, I never had any problem using my boat in Michigan...

But the Germany lake has a large section that cannot be accessed because of some fenced walkway bridges that connect to an island. And there are some really nice looking deep holes back there.

Probably just wanted us to pay up for expensive carp rods that can cast to the holes from land.

Ah. Possibly.
I spent 30 days at Baggersee and had little luck with Pike, everywhere I expected them to be found I got a big fat zero, the only spot I had any luck was at the docks and they were all young and commons.

Same as me
I have spent a lot of time looking for them but it seems they are hidden really well. I caught young and regular ones and one time saw a Trophy in the fish list.
Otherwise I would say, there are no pike in Germany...

just a hint here.. you can actually drive your boats up over the ends of the little walkway at the south end of the lake to get to the other half. It takes a little power and wiggiing but after a couple minutes you can do it
